Actions speak louder than words - show it on the ice. Self promotion in this way is a bit tacky! You are a good player and I'm sure Centennial will once again have a decent A Bantam "team".<img src=

Mike is an all around great player. Everything he does, he does with full force. This past season he was a first year Bantam, I'm looking forward to see whether he plays varsity with his brother or sticks with the association hockey A team, I'm sure wherever he plays it will be exciting.

I am sure Cent. will have a very good team, but I watched them in this past weekend's STP tournament and they got beat 'soundly' in their own rink by a very good Rosemount team 6-2. Talk about a fast-paced game! In the end, it appeared Rosemount had better conditioning and just kept coming at Cent. Both teams were missing a couple 'key' kids, but all-in-all it was a great game. Should be fun to see both teams play this year!

hey gopher guy...i just wanted to make a comment on the Rosemount Bantams. I know the guy that is coaching the Rosemount Bantams next year and this whole summer all he could talk about was how hard this team wants it. They are very similar to the Centenial team that won the state tournament this year. Yeah...both teams were missing a couple of guys but i want to make a comment on one of the players from Rosemount....Jimmy Saintey didnt play in the festival but the kid can flat out play...he see's the ice well and he can score from any where..watch out for him coming up the ranks. I am excited to see these teams meet in the state tournament.

gophergirl3: I had the opportunity to see Bergren play this past weekend at the 3v3 tournament and while I was impressed with his overall hockey skills, I was not as impressed with his on-ice attitude/sportsmanship - seemed to be lacking in that department. And in regards to your remark about him possibly playing high school with his brother - I think that might be a bit of a stretch. I did not think he was that dominating at the bantam level that he could just slide right into playing varsity hockey. There were actually several other players that were equal if not better than him that I noticed at the 3v3 tournament. Tartan had a player that was very skilled and fun to watch and Hastings also had a couple of very good players. That was a great tournament, by the way, and it would be nice to see more of that type of tournament format.

I am a player on mike Bergen's AAA team. I stayed in a hotel room with him and his brother. I have played with him for 4 years. I think he is a very good player, and has the size and skill to play centennial varsity. The one thing he has to change is his attitude. this season on the blasters, he got kicked out of 2 games in the one Duluth tournament all for fighting. He must have gotten kicked out of at least 7 games this whole season. He is not very accepting to new players and can be a real pain in the <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:"> , but that can be easily changed with someone to set him straight. The high school coach wont do that because the centennial coach worships him and calls him all the time. so if he plays as a freshman hopefully a senior will break him in. I think he is getting a lot better and i guarantee he will be one of the top players as a senior or possibly even a junior. good luck mike.
