Any fantasy baseball players here? I thought if we could get a bunch together, we could start a free league on Yahoo.

I am...and if we did a league, my team would dominate. You should see how dominant my other team is. I got the AL leader in HR's, batting average, RBI's, 3B's, and SB's...and its all the same guy!<img src=

True, but my team is much more than Brian Roberts. <img src=

Roberts may be hot now, but give him time and he will start slowing down. Same goes for the Yankees in starting slow. As much as I hate to say it, they should find their groove sometime later on this season....

Yeah, but like I said, I got studs all up and down my lineup (Tejada, Rolen, Abreu, Prior, Crawford, and more). Yes I realstically don't think that Roberts is going to hit 60 HR's, hit .420, and get 150 RBI's, but he should be solid the rest of the year and be among the leaders in batting average, triples, and stolen bases, as well as end up with 20+ HR's.

As for the Yankees, yeah they will get better, and yes they usually start out slow, but I'm not sold on the team yet. Their relief pitching is not what it used to be, as Rivera needs to get over his Red Sox curse before he can regain his spot as one of the top closers in the game. But also their other greatly used RP's, Quantrill and Gordon, were way overused last year and its showing this year. Plus, many SP's that the Yanks sign, especially the past couple of years, have not worked out for them. Examples of this are Kevin Brown, Javier Vazquez, and this year (so far) Randy Johnson. Their lineup isn't getting any younger, and their division is improving, such as the Orioles. In fact, I would not be surprised to see New York finish 3rd in that division behind Boston and Baltimore. They each have better lineups right now than New York. Just my opinion, so don't attack me on it ER.

There is no need to attack/bash, its your opinion and you have a right to it. I actually agree with some of it, you are right on with the pitching portion. But to the main point, how the hell did you get a fantasy team like that? Do you have like 4 teams in the league or what? <img src=

8 teams in my league, and I got the right pick to get all of these guys. (6th of 8 in a snake draft) And I still got more (Delgado, Peavy, K-Rod, Cordero, Hafner, and Nick Swisher!<img src=

How about Torii Hunter for fantasy value right now? He has 4 HR's, 16 RBI's, 15 Runs, and 10 SB's up to today.

And how about Jacque Jones leading the AL in batting average? The Twins have some good fantasy players on their team this year.

I checked the player rankings in my Yahoo league, and Torii is #2 in the majors. The top 10:

1. Brian Roberts<img src=

Speaking of Lee, he's going crazy. I believe a .430 average with 7 homers and 28 RBI.

But does he have 3 triples and 10 SB's like B-Rob? No. In the AL, Roberts is 2nd in HR's, 4th in RBI's, 2nd in SB's, 3rd in triples, and like 5th in BA. Lee may be tops in the NL in some of these catagories, and I realize that right now he would win the Triple Crown, but then he has 4 SB's (not bad) and 0 triples. B-Rob has been and will be more complete this year.

Morneau

How about Morneau lately? He's on a tear since his return. I can't wait to see what his numbers will look like at the end of the season. All I know is he is capable of a 40 homer season <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> .

4 HR's already: I think that he will end up at around 40 HR's as long as he stays healthy. He has the most power potential than any Twins player has ever had since the great Harmon Killebrew.

Edited by: <A HREF=

After the last 2 games in Tampa, his total adds to 6 Homers. He hit one tonight as a pinch hitter in the 9th, a 3 run shot. This kid is on fire!
