One of the strangest stories I have ever seen. Hopefully nobody on this board gets as much involved as this guy.

publications.mediapost.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Articles.showArticleHomePage&art_aid=29415
-------------------

"75 percent of the world is covered by water. I can see that it could be a joke, especially the way it ended, with the thing about the online funeral service. Looking at it more and more, you're probably right.
-------------------

"75 percent of the world is covered by water. The rest is covered by Smoot." --Fred Smoot

This is one of the hits I got when I searched his name with Google. Most of the ones I found were other forums talking about whether or not it is fake. The fact that this is the only news source to report anything on it makes it a likely joke. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">

UPDATE: This is likely a hoax. I've tried Google and Yahoo searches, and a variety of online people-finder searches. I even employed Technorati. That I can neither find a listing for Childress H. Wanamaker in West Nyack, New York, nor any comments on the Internet linked to him is kind of the tale of the tape. Besides, what family would allow a man to die of starvation at his computer?! Anyway, it was quirky enough, I felt compelled to post it this morning!
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Lee, it is a dry heat out there. My advice to you is drink more water than you think you need!
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

Dry and heat were understatements. Average highs out there in mid-May are around 90. It topped 100 the last eight days we were out there. I thought I knew what hot was. I only knew what muggy was.

But man oh man, what a fun place to be, when we weren't out of Vegas exploring all the state and national parks nearby.

First thought that hit me upon getting back to Duluth is this town still svcks. Or maybe it's just a withdrawal thing after having all this fun for the past ten days.
