this is his rookie season with the pro. team. he has been in the minors for about two or three years. i think he went over to europe during the lockout and was second on his team in points and led in +/- which i think is a very underrated stat because if your live scores more than it gives up you are doing your job in both ends of the ice.

I think that San Jose also has Shane Joseph in their system. He is also from Mankato State and played on a line with Grant and they were both candidates for the hobey baker award the same year that Jordan Leopold won it. I think this speaks volumes about the MSU program and their coaches they may not have a lot of team success but they have produced two NHL players (Tim Jackman & Stephenson) and have many players that have been signed or drafted in to the pros.

Peace,
Old Timer

Shane Joseph is a great guy and I am proud to say he is a friend of mine. It would be great to see Grant and Shane play together again.

Shane took a back injury last year and had a bit of trouble coming back from it, but all is well. I just feel bad for him because both his roommates got called up to San Jose this year. On the positive side, his total points for this year look good. I wish these guys the best.

The video was fun to watch.
