I should be getting into Duluth @ 11 or so. I want to eat good food, but quick, so I can get to the DECC for East-Cloquet...anyone have any ideas? <p></p><i></i>

If you want something fast and you're pressed for time, then you're really stuck with Canal Park. I'd go with Grandma's; if Pizza Luce opened earlier than 11:00, I'd totally recommend them.<br><br>If you had more time, I can recommend something in most food types you can think of. Except Jamaican. We don't do Jamaican in Duluth. Wish we did.<br><br>As far as the get-together before the games, we need something which opens earlier than 11:00, time to sit around a bit and not be so rushed to get over to the first game. A couple places which come to mind are the Greenery and Schlotzky's (altho you Subway fans might die from actually having to eat something good) in the Holiday Center.<br><br>Let me know if you're looking for something post-games. Too bad tUMD is playing that night or I'd be up for something post-games. I know Red Lobster is open early in the morning on weekdays. I have to go to Duluth every Tuesday morning and I have lunch there at 10:30-11:00 every Wednesday. If everything is open there isn't a bad spot down there to get some awesome pregame food. Anytime I go to the DECC for a game or a play(my wife drags me to plays, stupid wife and wanting "culture") I always leave Hibbing at 4 for the game/play at 7. <br><br>Hey boblee, keep those roads clear for me so I can get to the IRA in time to see my 'Jackets play <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :b --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":b"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p></p><i></i>

And true. I didn't realize that Schlotzky's was still alive, there used to be one on the U of M campus in Stadium Village and I ate there all the time before it went under. The cafeteria near where I work has Subway and I have to choke down a sandwich from there once or twice a week because of convenience but if I have time I try to drive somewhere else for lunch.<br><br>Is there good Thai, Middle Eastern or Indian (from India that is) food in Duluth? If you're familiar with Deluxe Coney Island, it's almost right next door.<br><br>Indian: Indian Palace on the upper side of Superior Street between 3rd and 4th Ave W. There also is a new Indian place opened up on Superior Street right across from the Holiday Center, but I haven't talked to anyone who's eaten there yet, so no idea. It's in the location formerly known as Nick's or Nick's Burger King, which had as good a burger as you'd find in Duluth in their heyday.<br><br>Nothing Middle Eastern comes to mind.<br><br>And man, I still wish we had a Jamaican place in town. When we were in Apple Valley last summer, we walked over to Bilimbi Bay one night for dinner, only to find it'd shuttered its doors.
