With all due respect to Jdog, how about the Owattona coach as coach of the year. His team had 10 players or less and still managed to get to the state tournament. They just kept finding ways to win. <p>Falkster</p><i></i>

He only said that because they didn't really beat anyone very good to get to the state tournament, therefore their coach didn't do a whole lot. I dont necissarily agree but that's the point he was trying to make.<br> <p></p><i></i>

Owatonna didn't cut the state into districts. They beat who they had to beat to get to State. Maybe redistricting will send a stronger team from the silver region to state next year, but they legitmately won the region. <br><br>They may have lost both games in the State tournament, but I bet if you gave them a decent third line they could skate with anyone but Edina. Edina's good, but they better be if it's true they only rostered one A team this year. Roseau didn't make much more headway against Edina than Owatonna and they've been ranked high all season--but I believe Roseau has one A team and one B team, not 7 (edina). Buffalo has been ranked all season--Owatonna beat them. Cut any of the teams at State down to 10 skaters, put them up against Owatonna and I bet you'd have yourself a game to watch.<br><br>As for top coach awards--hats off to the Owatonna coach for making it as far as he did with 10 skaters and one goalie. <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... Centennial. You win it all you deserve it. Beat Da Bears, DE, EP, and Edina to win it all. <p></p><i></i>

Clearly Centennial. Whereas some teams could be viewed as stagnating, Centennial rose to the occassion and performed as a team. Credit must be given to the coaches for keeping the team focused during a very long season. Developing and improving players to skate as a full team is not easy to do and is accomplished by very few programs. It is the true mark of excellent coaching. Hats off to Centennial, their Coaches and their program.<br><br>Go Chiefs!! <p></p><i></i>

But i think there is only one more person that deserves the award more than him, and his name is Maury Burnett. he works in Alexandria and every day we had practice, he would drive down to help
