A hockey dad visiting Shattuck told me he met the Great One while on a parent visit just a short time ago, he was interested in the school for his kids. Anyone else hear this?

Edited by: <A HREF=

its true, Gretzky's kid is at Shattuck, but he is overrated and not that good. As a junior he didn't make the prep team, which according to my friends who had a sibling go there, is not good. The prep team is the best and if you are a good player as a junior in the school, you should make the prep team, but since the kid didnt make prep, hes not that good.

So just because thier dad is the "Great One" means they should be nothing less then that? If your dad is a fat lazy piece of crap does that mean you should be? How about your mom the alcoholic? When do you start hitting the bottle? I am surprised they are even playing hockey, to have to live up to everyones ideas that they should be just awesome. Good for them to even get out and play for the
FUN of it.
I would love to find out who you are "petey135" and see what a stud you think you are. I am pretty sure I could find a lot wrong with your game. I don't see Ty or Trevor on here saying how great they are, they are just playing hockey and because thier family has some money they are going to be at Shattuck. Don't be a little smart a**.

not every kid that goes to Shattuck is on or has to be on the NHL futures list. He is playing on the AA Midget team, which is basically a JV team. They play Jr B teams and would have a tough time against most local HS JV teams.
All I am saying is nobody is bragging this kid up like he is a chip off the old block he is playing with the talent he should be. He is not taking a spot on the Prep team form anyone. Did he come to Shattuck with a parade and promising to bring home the National championship? I don't think so.
And no he doesn't have to be good, he has money. Which in most cases is better then good. It's hard to beat a full wallet.
Pucknutz69 is right on!

Hey nutz,
I think you're righ on the mark! Just because their dad was a superstar does not mean they will be. Petey135, regardless of your thoughts and others about how good these kids should or should not be it really doesn't matter. Taking the idea that these kids should be awesome players because of their dad and their gene pool. Your old man must have sat around with nothing better to do than critcize teenage kids for their lack of athletesim. Also you must have rec'd some good "talks" on the way home about your lack of play. Just because you come from a certain background does not automatically qualify you to be herlded as the greatest. It's all about ability and want. If you want it and you work at it. You'll increase your odds of it coming true! DA! Beyond that hey, I'm sure their old man just wants them to get the best education as well as providing them with the best opportunity to play hockey.
