Centennial and Holy Angels are tied 0-0 after first period. Centennial will start the second period with some of a power play left.

Penalty???

How could they call that a penalty? If they really wanted to call Hillen for interference than they should've taken the Centennial player for hooking as well. I think that is a teribble call. I really hope it doesn't end up costing AHA a goal.

No score. Centennial ended the period on the power play with over a minute to carry over . Not muck goin on ..yet.

Brutal. I think these refs try to be too good sometimes. We want to watch the kids play.. not the refs.

Horrible call. Just brutal.

I guess the refs expect Hillen to ignite his super powers and leap over the goalie to avoid contact, all while being hooked.

Thanks

Thanks guys. Keep 'em coming. Some of us have to work and can't watch. (We can just sneak peaks on the message boards).

Still no score with about 9 mins to play in the 2nd period. Centennial has had more scoring chances and seems to be controlling play but, just a little more than AHA does.

Centennial has won every faceoff so far.

Too bad I have to go back to work and can't finish watching.

0-0 still

AHA's Smith just made a BIG save...
It was a HORRIBLE call on Hillen to end the 2nd, can't penalize a player for taking the puck hard to the net while getting hooked...

You have to avoid the goalie unless you are driven into him by the defender.
Hillen hit the goal tender it is a penalty.
Unless he ws driven into by the defender having his stick on him - then you have a hook.
If REFS don't call the stick work then you get the penalty for running into the goalie.
I would have called the hook.

Good game so far. Both goalies are playing very well. Both teams are still playing conservative defense by leaving 3 guys back. 3rd period should be a good one.

For a team that has score over 250 goals in the season, Centennial sure is not putting on the offensive pressure. 13 shots over 36 minutes. About 1 shot every 3 minutes.

What do you think they'll do in the 3rd period?
Will Centennial start to pull up that 3rd forward and go for some sustained offensive drives?
Or will both teams hang back and wait to capitolize on a mistake?
