0-0 after 1.

Good Parise, do I despise Lou Nanne. Both teams played very well defensively, but Elk River spent most of the time recovering in their zone. They amassed one single shot on goal, by my count, and all "Metro" Lou can talk about is the great forecheck of the Elks. What forecheck? In terms of spending time in the offensive zone, I'd say its about 75/25 in Moorhead's favor.

With that being said, I'd say the pace favors the Elks right now. Spuds are the better team, but keeping the game close is exactly what they wanted.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Interesting game. I see Nanne's comments mirrored Sarslands comments somewhat. Both very knowledgable, however I see Moorhead will eventually pull away with a spirt of goals.

Graham ties it up for Elk River. Man, looked like Moorhead was going to put it to 'em but the Elks hung in there and came back. The longer they can keep this thing close...

Lee

Listening to Lou Nanne makes me want to puke, Sarsland is no better. The isolationists truely believe that there is no hockey outside the metro, what arrogance. Did anyone see the intros, the Elks look like something between Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols and the Manson family.

I didn't see any of the 1st period intermission report, but my brother said they interviewed Sarsland, and he said that Moorhead was an "ok team, but not great." Who does this jackbag think he is? Get a life.

Better period for ER in the 2nd. Like I said after the 1st, this favors ER, totally. Moorhead is clearly the better team, but ER has played good enough defensively to win this game. One thing's for sure:

Whoever wins this upcoming period, wins the game. Unless of course we have OT...

In that case, I hate to say it, but ER has the advantage.

I still think Moorhead will pull it out.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Cripes, if you don't have a rooting interest (and even if you do, somewhat), this is a heckuva game to just kick back and enjoy. If you're a fan of either team, it's almost tough to watch.

Lee

Spuds win! What a game.

Best game of the tournament so far. The best team won this game.

Had me worried for a bit, but that Section 8 train is rolling along, after a slight derailment last night.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

No REAL interest in the win/loss of this one other than pulling for the Section 8 bretheren, so watched what turned out to be a dandy. Typical TV coverage kissed up to ER all night, kind of silly. I see why people complained all season about ER and DIRTY. The most stick work I've seen in a LONG time, lots of hooks and rakes, very unimpressed with their style of play but kept them in the game because it wasn't called. Goofy bald commentator called that a back check more like a ride down the ice with a stick in someones side. Wally Shaver sucks and Louie is getting worse every year...<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

One heck of a goal by Joe Long for the power play. I gotta be proud how ER played. Hopefully they can win the rest of their games. Spuds coach was over stating saying that ER is a "very" over rated team. Like the goals back to back in tonights game; Spuds up by one then ER would tie that seemed to happen when i was at a ER home game during the regular season(anoka, osseo). But without a doubt Spuds will be in the finals.

I like that perdiction for tonights game:
Moorhead 8
ER 1
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">
Redemption for Long
