So with Lakeville defeating Elk River today the next time someone says "when was the last time Section 1AA won a game at state?" the answer is 3-12-04. Then again Elk River probably played the thrid goalie, rolled 4 lines equally and didn't care packing up and checking out of the hotel this afternoon<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> .

I agree with greyhound, lakeville did win it so i give them props and i dont care about shots its the score that counts! i give lakeville props for the whole tourni, they played 3 very good teams tighter than anyone prolly expected, while beating one of them and having a lead on holly angles. I no longer believe they are a fluke team, they can play with the big boys.

The problem

They are lossing the 2 guys that made them OK this year, Davis and O'Brien. The backup goaly Buttwieler and all the JV goalies are sub par. The defence without Davis is very sub par. Time to rebuild for next year. In 2006 the new High School opens up and splits the town in half. Does Rosemount ring a bell? Next year will be their last chance for a long time to win 1AA. I don't see enough talent, Do you? Davis has been on every boys team (4) that has made a state tournament in Lakeville, without him and O'Brien (3 state tours) they blow.
