Hey guys, just wanted to say congrats on a great season and that you have a great club up there. The team is not only skilled beyond belief but also has a ton of class! <br><br>I know we had many a difference during this season debating our clubs- I m gonna miss that alot- but I am sure glad it all came down to our clubs in the end.<br><br>Both teams had difficult games to play in the tourney and really gutted the last portion of the game out. Your spuds had me on the edge of my seat the whole game just like our fist encounter! <br><br>The game was one for the ages and we are sure proud of our team for what they accomplished but on the same hand it felt nice to shake a few of your players hands as they headed out to the bus after the game cuz they were champs too! <br><br>I am sure I will be watching your team down at the X next year cuz it looks like your underclassmen are pretty darn good too.<br><br>Take Care and thanks again for the memories<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START ;) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p></p><i></i>

I should also mention that I GREATLY appreciate Lee and mitch for keeping an great forum for all of us hockey fans to hang out and get opinions and stats and opportunities to support our teams.<br><br>Lee- Your boys from East made quite an impression on us cougar fans at the X! They never quite husslin and diggin in the corners, something can be learned from that teams work ethic! I bet Duluth is darn proud of their accomplishments this year. <p></p><i></i>

Thanks for the vote of confidence centennialfan ... we are very proud of the Spuds, and yes ... they did show a lot of class, as they did all season long.<br><br>Most of the hollering done throughout the year supporting the Spuds and Warriors was entertainment by design, as neither Slappy, Bluesbuddy nor myself are from Moorhead or Warroad but we are huge fans of their programs and follow them closely.<br><br>Slappy is probably the biggest fan, as he went out on a limb and put himself into a position to take the heat, but if you knew Slappy outside of the realm of cyberspace ... you would realize that he is a class act also.<br><br>Since all of us are from Section 8 originally, it is our duty to bring notice to those teams (although they certainly did a great job themselves at doing so) to the rest of the state because, like you said ... the coaching staff and the players are way too humble and focused to get involved in the bantering, etc.<br><br>It was a fun year for all - and Centennial proved that they were the best team in the state this year with Moorhead not far behind.<br><br>Congratulations to Edina and Duluth East also, as they were the only teams to figure out how to beat you guys and Moorhead respectively. That was not an easy task.<br><br>Thanks to Mitch and Lee for providing an outlet for all high school hockey fans, players, coaches and parents to obtain information, give information and be entertained throughout the season.<br><br>Also thanks to many of the characters on this fine forum such as petey1321, goldy313, Slappy, budabbott, Below 0 Zero, scheids316, ptowntigers, BIAFP (Angus Young), green and white fan, rams1981, Joe Lulic, inthecorners, bluesbuddy, Ramshockey, Kranky, centennialfan, JLS81, GR19, metromick, massman, hubba, zamman and the rest of the crowd who contributed to the ongoing debates throughout the season. VS, Thanks for re posting those photos. It is my absolute favorite one of slappy before he got his contact lenses. Those people in the entertainment business sure know how to look good. <br><br>The list of distinguished posters you mention are superb and made this a fabulously entertaining forum. <br><br>I like the movie title. <br><br>Slappy took a lot of heat when section 8 didnt dominate the tournament but I didnt hear any thing from anybody who had a better pick and thats a fact......of modern life.<br><br>I will keep going agaisnt the grain but it will be on the putting green hopefully soon. LOL- Slappy don't worry , I m sure our love fest will end next fall, but for now may the past be the past. We can only hope for another exciting year next year-but who knows what the future holds?<br><br>I have to admit that I have a new profound interest in that Moorhead program after seeing the new coach and his staff- They are top notch and have turned those kids into a great bunch- watching everyone shake hands and congrat eachother at the end was awesome- we don't have the honor of seeing that much these days. A few of us Cent folk will be pulling for ya guys until we meet up again.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>
