I don't think he is committed but he's already on a USHL roster. Lincoln Start I believe? But not sure. They know who this kid is.

I know that they know who he is, they have known about him since he was in 10th grade. I just can't believe no one is knocking on his door

The reason not to many are interested is because of foot speed. He will struggle at the next level because he is slow a foot. I will say that in all other areas of the game he is outstanding. But foot speed kills at the next level.

I think that his foot speed might have been a question last year after he broke his leg, but he seems to have regain it this year.

How well do you think he would have played if he didnt break his foot?

what are you guys talking about?

Kyle Hardwick IS on the Stars roster. He will be leaving for Lincoln following the championship game. He's holding his college decision to himself. He doesn't feel that people need to know right now where he is going. I'm pretty sure he has verbally committed to a team but not 100% positive. I think he's fully recovered from the foot injury. That's just me.

He is very qualified to play at the next level. He has been solid throughout his high school career. It is strange no one has picked him up for a scholarship.

I know in the past teams have shied away from a talented player due to extra luggage as in a lousy parent. Could this be the case? Don't know, only I think he would be welcome on many college rosters

Didn't Jay Hardwick have the same parent. UMD got along with the parent just fine. Nice try.

Didn't mean to imply anything except a reason for him not being offered a scholarship. If you say his folks are good, then there must be no reason I can see for him not being offered a scholarship immediately!!!

Would love to see him in the WCHA in a couple of years.

I know his dad has been very involved with the athletics at Warroad, but I beleive it has been more for his love of sports than trying to kiss a coaches @$$. And like wolves said, maybe Kyle just doesn't feel as though it is his time to commit.
Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

yes i know hardwick and so do all of my collegues. this kid has a lot of talent and will no doubt be playing ushl next year and eventually division 1. dont be surpised to see him end up joining oshie at north dakota. personally i like his size and hockey sense he reminds me of a young chris progner

Hardwick's pretty good, but I personally think that olimb is better. hardwick peaked his sophmore year... olimb just keep getting better and better... both are great defensemen and both will probably end up playin division 1 somewhere... i wouldn't be surprised to see hardwick go out east... like some where in the boston area... i think that und lost interest in him... i know olimb wouldn't mind playing for the U but then who would.

not only is he a good hockey player he's also a Straight A student, he could probably get an academic scholarship somewhere too

I doubt Hardwick would end up in Boston. I gave thought to that for about five seconds because he was out in Boston with his dad last year, but I think his brother playing in the Frozen Four for his senior year gives enough reason to go out to Boston. He said last year it was pretty much between UND and tUMD but wasn't sure which one.
