what do u think about hovde's performance agianst totino, he faced a lot of shots and did do a decent job from what i saw, but he also let in a few questionable ones, im not saying that it was entirely his fault because it obviously wasnt, but he just got a lot of press and coverage in some papers and i was just wondering if he lived up to the hype? <p></p><i></i>

He got a lot of press because he was unbelievable in the section playoffs - stopping over 95% of the shots he faced. With that being said, he did get caught off his angle a couple of times last night - but there's only so much a 'tender can do. <p></p><i></i>

Read his article in the Star Trib. it kinda talks about how his angles were off with the different creases, which could make sense. Maybe a practice would have helped that, it can be hard for a goalie to find new angles sometimes. not trying to make excuses but i thought he played pretty good, cant complain about 38 saves, same save % as the Totino goalies. <p></p><i></i>

I hate those creases. Don't know why they had to change them. I am getting sort of used to them but still hate 'em. Every once in a while you still get caught off with em. <p></p><i></i>

I don't think he's overrated. He didn't play the angles well on those two shots, but he did the other night against Mound. He has lots of ability. He's very quick and skates extremely well. I think he's a very talented goalie. <p></p><i></i>

i played on the varsity golf team the last 4 years for AHA, and the players on my team told me and my coach that he cheats (shaves strokes, moves his ball, etc.) and that he also tries to gamble with his playing partners. I know this because he has told my teamates and he told me one time too. I think the shakopee coach confronted him about it though. Yeah, i played for the powerhouse White Bear Lake. 2004 State Champs. I have never played with Shakopee in a tourny. I have played with Pexa and he isnt bad. <p></p><i></i>

He played below average, but he was hyped for a reason in the section playoffs stopping 91 out of 94 shots. <p></p><i></i>

the kids at aha arent much better, in fact when i played them in golf we busted three kids just my senior year for cheating... and the gambling part is a good time, closest to the pic contests and what not, not like anything was ever paid out anyway... <br><br> <p></p><i></i>

his article on the star trib web site says that he is either going to ASU or the U of M, doesnt sound like hockey is in his future. but you never know. <p></p><i></i>
