Played against them, tied 5-5 and won by some amount, their not an upper level team, they are just getting started but most of the kids on the team were freshman, a program that could improve but not in the near future it looks like, thats just my opinion from playing them, kind of a jv level team, not varsity

Actually I remember my friend's dad saying something about this when i was visitng them over Christmas break. Apparently they got some great players that are looking into attending, to drop some names, Miller and Lucia from Wayzata. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but its from a pretty reliable source, so before everyone jumps on this, really get your facts straight, cause from what i've heard its pretty much a sure deal. I can see why with Andy Ness, the great young coach headmanning this operation, that he would have the ability to draw these players. THE NEXT HOLY ANGELS!!!!!

Ahhh thats a far stretch, the next holy angels, yeah a long way from that, this is a team that has only had 4 classes go through the high school, meaning that this was their first "full" year of highschool, but this was a team that was playing JV teams for the most part with some varsity teams, they can't actually be considered "varsity" yet, so your prediction is a little bit of a stretch, so you might want to evaluate your predictions a little more before you make them, but i do understand that you may be a real big providence fan so i am accepting of that, just some words of advice

I see what you're saying, and yes I'm the biggest Providence fan that i know of. Its just fun to see a new school, with great potential, grow. Its like watching a child grow up. Granted they have some catching up to do to reach the pedistal that AHA is at, with the coach taht they have in place, and the huge area of Wayzata now with a private school in the area, whats stopping them to have that greatness. The answer is nothing people. They will in fact be great, thats all im saying.

Andy Ness? I thought Hal Tearse was the head guy at Providence. Has something changed?

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that big area of Wayzata feed into Benilde, Blake, and Breck as well? Seems to me there's a little more competition in the area than people think.

Our JV, which only lost six games this year, played and lost to providence in a tourney during Christmas. From what i've heard, they're a young team. The school is brand spanking new, only a couple years old. They were initially listed as a 5A team two years ago, but didn't field a varsity, so didn't take part in the playoffs.

Judging from where they're located, and the money that's gone into the school, and what I've heard about the program, I wouldn't be surprised if they developed into a strong program. How long that will take is the question.

no doubt, they should be good in the future.... takes time to get their name out.... and their kids will develop.
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

exactly what i've been saying dank, their kids will develop, and all they need is some proven players to bring over the great underclassmen and youth players. from what i've heard it was ness, but you other may be right about that other coach, but all they need is some great "recruits" if you will or transfers whatever ya'll wanna call them to draw in the youth and great young area players. With the area taht they apply to, they should be able to draw away from the schoools like breck and blake and make their own name ofr themselves.

I have one thing to say. PROVIDENCE SUCKED. They were no good in any way possible. There good players that are young are not even that good. THey were measured up to no one execpt jv teams and crappy varsity teams. They got beat by the orono jv team. Our jv team beat oronos 8 to 1. Providence is no good. To add to that everyone that tried out for the team made it.

The coach is Hal Tearse. They had a decent first season, and will continue to develop at a rapid pace. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">
