As far as recruiting goes, I won't believe that either one was recruited until I hear the coach himself say he did it, or someone catches him doing it.

BTW, Lechner does now recruit. I know that for a fact. And no, I'm not just saying this because I'm a Pioneer fan. It's the truth. He's a great classy guy and coach.

Let's just not talk about recruiting. It's been brought up too much on the board.

You will get all your answers if you check the "best of forum" or the "cafe" or the the "ridiculously redundant topics" link on this board.

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> hope that helps ...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eoscout at: 2/20/05 3:42 pm

Before you can make any believable statments, your facts need to support it. If Cameron Voss was recruited by STA out of moundsview, then why did he go to Cretin for 2 years? Didn't he just follow the Cretin coach when he went over to STA? Don't know how that is recruiting.

And.......

We've had this discussion so many times on the board, and all it leads into is arguments. It's not all reality either.

If you were around longer, you'd see what I'm talking about regarding the "recruiting" topics. It's just sick at times. That's why this should be closed and ended....

Cam Voss

He was @ CDH for 2 years and left for St. Thomas when Vannelli moved from CDH to St. Thomas. I do not believe that would qualify as "recruiting."

There is recruiting taking place there look more in depth at the whole situation, Voss has personnaly told me over and over that they did recruit him, he said the Cretin and STA would call and call him trying to persuede him to play hockey for them.

we can argue this until we are all blue in the face, but until a team and its coaches get busted for recruiting then it does not matter. if they are still playing then i am guessing that there are no problems, drop it

Like lil brodeur said, Voss played under STA's current coach Tom Vannelli at CDH for 2 years and developed a solid relationship with him. He enjoyed playing under Vannelli and when the time came that Vannelli was to change schools, Voss was eager to follow his coach and will now benefit from his decision with a probable trip to state, hell of a goalie this kid is

My favorite thread on this board......
Anytime someone comes on here and starts this over more people end up hating this thread. Rumors and unsubstantiated facts get you know where. Jealousy is all this shows.... Most of the "real" posters on this site know the answer to this topic......
Gotta go, I have all four of my phone lines lit up with the private school coaches calling to recruit my 8 year old son....

Recruiting

The real problem with the discussion is with the definition of recruiting. Recruiting is not selling a kid on the "virtues" of a school . I have an 8th grader. He has gotten brochures in the mail from 5 differnt high schools(public and Catholic). So has everyone else in his class. Thats not recruiting.

When a player swears that he was given something by a school that he would not have other wise recieved as an inducement to go to there and then backs it up with a document or 2, we have a recruiting situation.

As far as I know, thats never happened.

what do you call Derek Mccallum's case, he gets free transportation to the school and back by the coach himself

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... ous44>Lord Infamous44 at: 2/20/05 4:11 pm
