St. Cloud/No Junior Gold

Why doesn't St. cloud have a junior gold program? They have a lot of kids, myself included, that would love to play some puck, just not for my high school team (2 years of varsity hockey was just enough for me). They have a U-16 team...why not just move all those kids up and have a junior gold B program so all are welcome. I contacted the SCYHA president and basically said we could have a team if we organized it ourselves. She could just set it up and with out any interest just not have a team.

To have a team at the A or B level is not as easy as moving up the 16u kids. You have to look at their ability and put them in the level they are best suited for. I have worked with CD at great length to get a team at the A and/or B level but the players just wouldnt make the commitment. Without 2 1/2 lines and 2 goalies you cant do it. WIth the many reasons kids dont show up and the game misconducts a team could fall apart and that would be worse than not having the team to begin with. If you want a team in st cloud next year, tell CD in early fall and she can get with her district 10 reps to start organizing. Good Luck

CD hates on me thats all. The reason there is no committment is because she doesnt put any effort to it. I could give you names of probably 4 or 5 guys that i know that woulda played. Not to mention kids from other schools, ages, etc.
