total points at final standings this year, ep and wayzata are tied. I've been playing for three years in this league and I'm embarrassed to say I don't know the tie breaker. Any info on that?

Per Metro league handbook, it states reference MNHOCKEY Handbook:

A. Head to head competition among tied teams including Friendship points
b. Most wins in league play
c.Fewest Losses in league pPlay
d. Most Fiendship Points in league play

I doubt it would go farther than this. If so, its in the MNHOCKEY handbook.

EP has the tie break even though all we needed was 2 points in the last 3 games of our season and what we did in our last 3 games is embarassing getting only 1 point. Our team is very frusterated about how weve been playing but we will be back to the team people expect to see from us when playoffs come around.

I looked at the rule book at metrohockeyleague.com and it said goal differential is the tie break. Check that out and get back to me.

Guys this is from the MN Youth Hockey rule Book:

5. In the event of a tie by one or more teams in the season final standings, the following tie
breaking formulas shall be used in succession until one formula determines the position of ALL
tied teams.

a. Head to head competition among tied teams including Fair Play points.

b. Most wins in league play.

c. Fewest losses in league play

d. Most Fair Play points earned in league play

e. Largest goal differential among tied teams. (six max. per game)

f. Greatest quotient; goals for divided by goals against among tied teams.

g. Largest goal differential for all league play. (six max. per game)

h. Greatest quotient; goals for divided by goals against for all league play.

i. Flip of a coin by a league official in the presence of the District Director.

What it says it that A. is used first, if there is a tie, use B.

Ep Beat Wayzata Head to head.

we both got fair play points so i think EP gets it, Not that we are the best or deserve to, WE DON'T But by Default.

I

COACH. Get your boys ready to play next week. Work on the fundamentals at practice. Commit to lines that flow well and score. Pass the biscuit. Forget the talented wingers taking the puck end to end. Pass the puck!! These are the money games now. When I coached Midgets at Golden Valley years ago I had to refinforce to my players that I have not seen a skater yet who could outskate the puck. No turning back to relish your #1 finish in the MHL. Your tough teams appear to be Eagan and Wessy's Boys. Good luck, eh!
