After the first day of games, it appears that Feste had a breakout game with two goals and two assists. Congratulations to Melissa! I am sure others also had good games with out getting any/as many points (e.g. Defense), just happens that her totals really stood out.

Congrats to Mel Feste. She's worked very hard to get to where she is at, and also an amazing natural talent. Great kid, and glad to see her doing well. She should be a frontrunner for Ms. Hockey 2008. And yes, I am biased.

Sally Komarek recently starting lighting up the points trail, too.

With one game still to post, I see both Komarek and Feste in the top ten point getters and Grogan and Muske listed as the top two goalies. Great showing for these players.

Thought I'd toss this in here rather than start a new thread since local interest could be limited. A very high level tournament from all I've heard. Good luck to the Icecats.

Not sure what you can do about a team as stacked as the IC U19 out there... I would argue that it is better than more D1 teams than many would want to believe.

That being said, I do think this is a good example of the PointStreak software that will be offered to the MN HS Coaches this year as a central clearinghouse for statistical info. for the media, etc.

Agreed. A matchup between the IceCat's and Conn. Polar Stars, which has a roster loaded with outstanding current D-I players** would be extremely interesting. The Conn. Polar Stars also have an Olympian.

Edit: PointStreak is outstanding.

I've seen the twins play a couple times and was impressed with their skills. If they want to develop into better players they really need to start staying out of the penalty box. They can dance around weaker players teams but when it comes to competitive matches they do cost the team.
