A couple good ones this week. Tue: Sibley v Hastings. Sibley has two of the best defenders in Lange and Parker; also top scorer, Brennan. Hastings has a top forward, Danielle Welch.
Wed: CDH v Blake. CDH also has a couple good defenders - Carlson & Wild. Good fowards - Keys and Ziminiewicz. Blake has the Chutes and Komereks. Lots good players in both games.

I believe that that Hastings team is pretty deep in Junior talent? CDH may be better this year than last I hear some saying...

Except in goal, I'm guessing.
Don't look for Rochester Mayo in the upcoming games thread for a while. They play their 1st game Tuesday, 11/21. Everyone else has, what; 8 or 9 games in by then?

This Friday 11/17 at 7:00 pm Cloquet will travel south to play Benilde-St. Margarets at St. Louis Park Arena. This should be a very competitive game between two highly regarded teams. For BSM it will be their season opener.

It's tough to follow up an act as great as Jobman's

Mayo must be busy polishing their PP and PK; or maybe they are adhering to the USA Hockey policy of a zillion practices for every game played.

Actually, it might be a good way to go. Well practised before the real thing begins. On the flipside, the other Rochester teams both play a couple games, then take 2 weeks before another game. Thats a little strange.

Is this the product of splitting up NC games that the old teams had scheduled when the new teams were finalized?

2 teams backed out of the JM schedule. Both claim miscommunication between their coaches & ADs. That left a void in which is coach is hoping to fill, but no luck so far.

Yah, I would like to see Stillwater vs woodbury too.
Plus the pair of Roseau games are intriguing. Roseau vs. Hill on Fri and Roseau at SSP on Sat.
Goaltending battle of the weekend has to be Shakopee vs Simley! A couple of very fine goalies heading into battle in that one

Pretty important game early this week with WBL at Stillwater. Might even call it a must win for Stillwater if they hope to stay with Roseville & CDH in the race.

An EP boys hockey player died of cancer this weekend. His funeral is Tues. evening. Most of the girls on the team knew this kid and want to attend the funeral. The EP and Eagan ADs are discussing rescheduling this game. If it cannot be rescheduled, it looks as though EP will be willing to forfeit.
