To bad Eagan and Bemidji aren't in the Blue instead of ER and Hopkins.

In my opinion it sounds like schwans got it right.
As I recall hopkins already beat Eagan 7-1.
I can't speak on ER's behalf but Iam sure that they will have fun. :D

Should probably have been Mayo, Bemidji, or Eagan in there. ER is young, and a very young goalie.

I would add the Blake vs. Hopkins game. The No. 1 Class A school (private) against a solid AA team (public). Blake's arena is located in Hopkins and many of the opposing players (and parents) know one other.

Hopkins 0

empty net for Margaret Chute
Kallie Billadeau(hopkins goalie)stopped 34 shots

CEC wins in a shootout. Coon rapids went ahead 2-0 but CEC tied it up. No score in OT, CEC wins the shootout 2-0.

Hopkins 5
Cretin Derham Hall 3

It was a very unusual game. Hopkins was down 3 - 0 at one point but came back with 5 unanswered goals, one being an empty net.

CDH does not look like the team they were early in the season.

BSM 1
CEC 0

Blake over HM 3-1 I think. BSM vs Blake tomorrow for the championship.

Prior Lake 4 Richfield 1 - bad day for the Spartans. All four goals by PL's first line. O'Keefe 2 goals and an assist.

That's huge for PL to get 4 goals against Rich, one of the better D/G teams in class A.

For a team that lost arguably their top forward and their #1 goalie to transfers, and has a new coaching staff, this team is surprising many.

Realitty check for Richfield. Good work for PL.

Two good points, and although they lost two key players they also added a pretty good forward in D. Young from Hopkins. I haven't seen them play this year, but any line with Young and O'Keefe will be a pretty tough to stop.

It always seems like the holiday tourney time is when you see the most upsets, fun time of year to be a hockey fan.

Not sure if Prior Lake winning was really an upset. We knew they would be tough. I think they handed it to South Saint Paul pretty good and we only won 2-1. My understanding is that the goalie was playing bantams last year and she was pretty tough! I also always though O'Keefe was the better player than the transfer they lost. Maybe not as flashy but smart, strong and more of a team player.

Today - Richfield 2 - Bismark 1 - both goalies played great, faced a lot of tough shots. Winning goal Savage unassisted - banked it off the d into the net.

Physical game, Bismark had some big kids that are strong on their skates.

It sounds like you play for Richfield or are a parent of a player.

Which is it Puck Bag?
