The confusion probably comes from the fact that it is not called the Silverstick anymore. You are right that Minnesota teams can not play silverstick because we no longer follow the national age brackets. A few years ago this tourney was switched from Silverstick (a national qualifying tourney) to what it is now just the Holiday classic and is really no different then any other tourney except it is a big one with lots of teams (BA, BB1, PWA, PWB1). At the BA level however it only has 12 teams.

As far as this years teams go, Jefferson should do well in their pool and probably Littleton out of the other pool. Not sure about the 3rd pool. As always, it should be a good tourney with some tough teams to beat.

silverstick??

This link should get you there. If not, go to bloomingtonhockey.com and then go under Midwest tournament to get to tourney information.

Because Minnesota along with North and South Dakota do the age cutoffs at June 30-July 1 every year while every other state does it by birth year, like our MN AAA programs and clubs

southernfool you are right osseo is 3 and Jefferson is 4, jefferson had more points than osseo but because osseo won there pool they got the 3 seed.
