It depends on which Mayo team shows up - The one who plays hard and smart or the one that takes dumb penalties and stands around
My guess is the shots will be about 40-20 in favor of Hibbing, but I am guessing Donohue keeps it close.
Bluejackets 3
Spartans 2
Last year the Spartans won this game, but got handled by Virginia the next day 6-2. I looke at the Big Nine website and Sachetti had 5 points in that game.
I seriously think both Hibbing and Virginia might go double-digits on JM, unless Pirius stands on his head - which he does sometimes.

we had better check on that with mathrunner to see if that rating is accurate or not

Of course it is not ok with mathrunner. He would have to have STA ranked #1 for both A and AA. Because obviously they are the best team in the nation.

I look at Hibbing's results and I see some nice wins, but also some games where it makes you wonder how good they are? Go to the section 7 website and click on the boxscores. They must have a great PP based upon what I saw on there. I am not saying they are not good - they always are good, but I don't think they will waltz to an easy win if Mayo plays a good game, Donohue is on his game and the Spartans stay out of the box.
On another note, I looked at Virginia's scores and there were some bad losses in there. Are there goalies weak? It also looks like they are a one line team; granted that one line is outstanding. Nico has 45 points already - WOW!

Hibbing will mop up on the boys out of Rochester just one more step on their way to taking Hermantown to the woodshed for section 7A glory.

hockeynut.. just curious but what games besides roseau and possibly mound and lakeville south make you wonder about how good they are? and in those games i believe they started their backup goaltender.. this is a very strong team and it should be a good game against mayo as hibbing's goalie marchuk has also been playing well and hibbing also needs to play disciplined and out of the box.
also, from what ive seen, i agree on virginia..they have that one excellent line with sachetti and the goaltender i saw against denfeld was average at best..they have also been dealing with some injuries though.
