Anyone know where next week's Hibbing and Eveleth game is? I've seen two schedules that say its at the Memorial and two say its at the Hippo.

It has been corrected. The game is in Eveleth. The preliminary schedule we had from Eveleth had this game listed as being in Hibbing. Somehow it was overlooked when the final schedules came out and was not updated. Sorry for the confusion, folks.

Here is an interesting statistic!
Eveleth has beaten Hibbing twice and tied once in the past twenty four years.
1983-Eveleth 4 Hibbing 3
1998-Eveleth 4 Hibbing 2
2001-Eveleth 3 Hibbing 3
prediction: Hibbing 8 Eveleth Gilbert M/E 1

I think it will be 4-2 hibbing. It will be a rough game.

One score I had to recheck, In 1983 Eveleth-5 Hibbing-4 Craig Mattson with the winning goal. Hibbing Just has to much depth.
Eveleth will need to get some great goaltending from P.J. Gornick to even come close in this one.

Eveleth will get dominated. They have some good players, but Hibbing will be too much for them on this night, regardless off how Eveleth did up in the Falls.

I think Eveleth and I-Falls are evenly matched, line for line. I thought even though Eveleth got beat 6-0 in the first meeting, Brady Hjelle for the Falls was a one man wrecking crew for sure. Matt Rice had at least four point blank chances and couldn't put it past him.
Eveleth's defense makes to many mistakes, leaving Gornick all alone with two and three odd man rushes. I could hear Coach Finseth telling some of his players to spread out watch for some forwards that are hanging up high on the blue line, but fail to listen.
Hibbing should dominate this like I stated above.
I was up in Hibbing during the Hollidays and there were two rinks full of kids, but not in Eveleth. Eveleth's Bantams and pewees still get beat by Hermantown 16-0 and 6-1.

Not a huge surprise but a good section win for Hibbing. When I got to the game Eveleth was up one nothing a few minutes in but after Hibbings first goal they just came pouring in. Eveleth's first one was scored by Sandstrom and they're only other one was by Rice on a breakaway. A little momentum for Hibbing to get ready for Friday night when Virginia comes to town.

this game was really upsetting for eveleth. they came out flying and the first period was good hockey. it seems to me that eveleth isn't always a 3 period hockey team unless they want to be. hibbing came out flat to start but picked up there game and eveleth could have stuck with them but just folded up. also chris florey of eveleth scored at the end of the game and it wasn't counted. the goal was clear as day and i don't know how the refs missed it. if eveleth dedicates themselves to their team and don't give up they could hold up with some pretty good teams.

Evelath had the major meltdown again, they hung in their after the first and then just sank, i think PJ Gornick is a solid Goalie, but he needs the D to help him out, on a side note, i believe the JV Score was
Hibbing: 12
Evelath: 1

Read the paper man... stompohar got an assist on that one , trenberth scored it.... kapella had 3, 2 in the second, one in the third.

I believe that was a misprint by the paper and those were the shots on goal for hibbing. 14-17-10 for 41 shots/saves whichever it was.
