Here we go again. OK, he can hit, but there's so much more to the game - some of which he's missing.

like what i have seen him play he can skate he can pass he has a good shot sure he isnt gonna go anywhere great like his dad did but he is good enough to get mentioned he frightens forwards and they will question putting their head down. He does more for his team then people give him credit for

I've said, he's a good player, he's just not the only one. He leaves his D-partner high and dry alot and how many chances are given to the other team because of those odd man rushes he creates.
I'd take a defenseman that plays good DEFENSIVELY any day over someone who can hit good, shoot good, and usually just tries to move the puck himself.

I'm going to be real here...He doesn't pass well, or catch passes very well...And he shoots into shin pads well too often.

I'm going to agree here, and throw out that he isn't even the best defenseman on his team.

agreed both Bob and Hockeyfan. Selfishness gets you nowhere and it would be nice if the kid played for his team rather than himself. There's a lot of guys out there who can blow people up, but choose the right times to do that rather than every shift. Some defenseman go games without huge hits, but come out high on the plus minus end by just rubbing guys out and staying with the play. There's a thing called teamwork and for whatever reason, that kid thinks it's all about him. One wonders how things will be for him once his dad isn't coaching him anymore.

he is hits very hard and although he sometimes leaves his d partner alone he can make up for it with his speed. He has a few things to work on but if u want to talk about passing and catching passes he seldom makes the wrong play
