Northern Minnesota will be on FSN on Thursday. The two rivals go at it in Warroad with a little extra twist, Warroad's new head coach and goalie.
Any thoughts.

Yeah lets hope the boyz (ROSEAU) dont take dump like last year. They looked great the first period and then went to sleep the rest of the game.

This will be a chance for the upper Midwest to see them live so I hope the showing is a good one!

So who is gonna be playing goalie for Warroad??? That may also be a bit more interesting for those people that know what I am talking about.

Lets go Roseau lets kick the evil neighbors from the East.

On paper Warroad doesn't have a chance. But I know first hand that stats mean nothing when you play rivals. This game isn't played on paper, so anyone who's seen both teams play think Warroad has a chance?

Of course Warroad always has a chance. Vatnsdal got the win for Warroad tonight against St Cloud Tech so it sure looks like he'll be in the nets on Tuesday. Goaltending was probably Warroad's biggest weakness prior to tonight. He wasn't tested much, so i guess we'll wait to see what kind of difference he makes. No one expected Warroad to win the second round last year either, i'm not going to count them out, especially in their own house.

vatnsdal won't be the difference for warroad. All these Roseau kids have played and practiced with him for years, and they know exactly where to beat him.

Gatzke...i'm going to have to agree with you on this one a bit. I think the key for warroad is their defence. If they can play a sound game they may be able to keep it close. If not the speed of roseau will walk all over us

Although, historically the Rams haven't done well in the new Gardens, I think that big ice sheet will be to their advantage with their speed. It's gonna be a good game as always though.

I disagree for a couple of reason...First you may know a weak spot, this isn't like shoot out in practice where you get to pick your spot; during the game your reacting to situations you normally don't have time to try pick that weak spot. And second, this is a great opportunity for him to show Ollie he cut the wrong guy. What happens if he stands on his lips and pulls this one out. Lundy would love nothing more than that as it would show Ollie to be the fool. Right; Big Guy. :P

He does a good job at that on his own.

Vatnsdahl will do just fine, but wont pick up the win.

Roseau wil be slowed down again as long as the Gardens Management remembers to crank the heat again this year.

Marvin will be the only Warroad goal scorer. I give him two.

Oliver will talk about nothing but his son during the tv interview. It is great to be a proud parent, but make sure your priorities are straight.

That's funny......

Don't forget the St Cloud "verbal" rumor.
It's all a ploy for the stick boy to play him on whatever line he wants.

He's a big sneaky red bugger isn't he.

Oliver

Yeah Lundy, you know how loud Oliver's voice echoes in the memorial. When his son is on the ice without the puck you can hear Oliver yell "Move the puck, move the puck" whether it is a possible option or not. And when his kid has the puck what does he say "SHOOT, SHOOT" no matter the situation again.

Now I have nothing against Nick. He is a good third line player for that team, and will probably be on the first line before he graduates. He is just stuck with an ogre of a father.

Rams all the way: they're looking for last years revenge, although playing in the gardens is tough, when Jakes hot he's hot. i think vatnsdal will be looking to show oliver he made the wrong decision

All the more reason to beat the evil neighbors to the East! That is sacraligious for any Roseau parent to send their kid over to the evil neighbor to the East IMO. But to each his own.

But if he is any good he will have a prime time game to prove himself. Seems to me there was a goalie from Warroad back some years ago who ended up playing Juniors his senior year beacause of an import coming in to play net.

But for those of you who know who I am talking about he was a heckuva goalie going on to play DI and beyond if I am correct. So cant really compare this siuation to that.

Anyhow I just find it hard to believe but oh well to each his own. Good luck Rams. Kick those evil neighbors and make amends for last year. I dont want to make any excuses like last year when everyone kept giving me crap about that FSN Game.
