This thread definitely could have waited until next week, but I will take Denfeld in this one as well. Luke Davis will have a big night against his former team.

Real classy hockey program up there in Hibbing, eh?

I agree with vppp and Kamakaze. As long as its a clean hit, why not light him up... I suppose checking isn't very classy though.

haha, checking is just fine I could only hope a high school hockey player can handle checking. It's when you say this kid isn't even going to be able to walk when we're done with him, or any kind of comment regarding the fact that they will be gunning for a player, they sound like a cheap team. Who knows, maybe that's the reputation you want, but either way Davis is quick he'll get out of the way; anything else Hibbing will sit in the box for and that's a-o-k with me!

from what i've seen, davis isn't the most classy player himself and has spent plenty of minutes in the box for being cheap himself.. i mean runnin' into goalies after the whistle and i think he sat in the box for ten or so minutes in hermantown  hopefully the hibbing players don't get too cocky 'cause this game won't be too easy for em..

hibbing 6
Denfeld 3

even though i dont agree its completely right, i do think some hibbing kids will be shooting for davis. I mean he left the team after being there for how many years to play for someone else, and then expects to move back to hibbing after the season... I dunno. but i think kids will be out for him.

another point, when was the last time the hunters beat hibbing. I dont recall it happening the past few years. does anyone know?

Hibbing has beat them the last three years by quite a few

ok, just talked with some kids from hibbings team and asked them about luke for the sake of this thread. most of them are still friends with luke and understand the reasons why he left hibbing. ( he could not get along with hibbings coach.) so I dont think anyone will be really shooting for him anymore

I hope Toumi tries to lay the lumber to him and Davis takes him to the woodshed.

Even if he makes it through the whole game Davis won't be a factor

Davis will socre 2 against his former teammates and Denfeld wins a close one 4 to 2. Open net goal to seal the win for the hunters. Should be intersting to see if the jackets do go after Davis. Just hope its good clean hits on both sides ! Hope both teams play hard should be a great game ! Both teams should do well in the playoffs ! hibbing will have to deal with Hermentown and Denfleld with Marshall. Would like to see both make it to state instead of those teams ! :D

Last year Hibbing did win. Its a new year and Denfeld has had a good year so far. Played Hermentown tough and have lost to 2 AA teams Cloquet and East. Beat St.Cloud and have had looked good in most gomes. Im sure Hibbing is good also so should be a great game. But just because Hibbing won last year does not mean they will will big this year. I think Denfeld wins a close one .

That's completely irrelevant to this years hockey game. If anything it should give Denfeld some fire for revenge, and I really hope it does. Also, if you haven't seen Denfeld play then you have nothing constructive to say, and from what you've said so far I know you haven't seen them play. Therefore, we would all be pleased if you keep your noneducated comments to yourself, thank you.

kamakaze has every right to say what he believes..i've seen denfeld play, they have one good line with johnson on it and if he can't do anything they are done. i saw them against virginia (a game denfeld won, but could have easily lost) and when johnson didn't play the third period they had nothing. hibbing has every right to go in to this game thinking they should win, they have great goaltending and a lot of depth. but hopefully they aren't too confident because denfeld is a team that could easily beat them. as for the whole davis thing, i think everyone is making it in to a bigger deal than it actually is. but hibbing has two big games before denfeld and if they come out with a couple wins i think they will be tough to beat tuesday.

Yeah you're right everyone can come on here and express opinion but when you do it with no evidence backing your claim then why talk. Honeslty, don't come on here and act like you know everything about every team in Minnesota. Notice how I don't bash on other teams, cause I haven't seen them play. If you didn't notice that Denfeld has two very solid lines and a decent third line then you weren't paying much attention. Denfeld is a good hockey team, and honestly I hope they pull off a win against Hibbing to silence numerous "critics" on this forum. That's fine if you think Denfeld is going to lose, but don't say they will get blasted and then have no support as to why that is.

But ya know what I don't know why I bother because even if Denfeld wins someone will have numerous reasons why they shouldn't have. And nikebauer I'm not directing this all towards you, just the people who have something to say about subjects they know nothing about. If it's not constructive and insightful then keep it to yourself , ya know?
