Is it Pullar who plays D for Hibbing? Fast, Strong on her feet, good shot, good on both ends of the rink.

Tell me your boundries for Northern MN....
Montana Vichorek when I have seen her she seems to be the complete package, size, speed, sees the ice well.
Depending on your Northern boundries there are a couple nice ones in St. Cloud as well.

I would say you need to be North of St. Cloud. Since that's where the state ends for most of the rest of the state.

I agree Pullar and Vichorek are great for the reasons mentioned above.
I would add a couple of younger d to the list:
Hogren GR/GW - strong physical, good skater, and a great shot.
Scheving Warroad - good all-around player, nice kid, and sang a heck of duet with Bisek (NP) at the fresh/soph camp talent show this summer

I like mean. Seems like alot of the girls I watch are lacking in the department of being mean, aggressive & competitive. Disclaimer "within the rules of the game".

Yes, I have seen Ms. Larson play and she does exhibit on-ice the kind of attitude that makes her a very successful defensive player, so in her case the description "mean" could very well be construed as a compliment

Heather Horgen is pretty good.

LOL except in the summer when you can't wait to go up for vacations!
Any list of exceptional defense has to include Ashley Holmes from Alexandria. She's a strong, smart player and has a slap shot that a lot of boy's hockey players would love to have. It's been exciting to watch her on her elite teams as well as her high school team.

But, Emily Larson is VERY good defensively. If that is who you meant to talk about.

Right on #23, Not only is Ericka Wheelhouse (sophmore) excellent in her defensive zone she finished the regular season with 15 goals and 19 assists. Also her defensive partner Lexy Wangen (freshman) isn't to shabby herself. Lexy is good at both ends of the ice and has 16 goals and 16 assists to date. Defense wins championships. GO PIRATES

I think #9 Brianna Goulet from Warroad is a pretty good little skater, and what she lacks in height she makes up for with knowledge and understanding of the game.

Montana Vichorek is a good pick. I believe she went to NY 2 yrs in a row. I haven't had a chance to see her perform on the ice but she sounds like a solid D.
Brianna Goulet from Warroad sounds like a true player and from what I hear, she is the "go to" defenseman for the Warroad team.
I saw the Crookston defensemen when I went to the GRG vs Crox Game. Crookston's defense looked pretty solid, but from what i saw, #13 controlled the game end to end. She barely came off the ice. As for #17 , I didnt notice her as much but I'm sure she does her part when she is needed.

I believe Warroad's Chelsey Brodeen is more of the "go to" player, then is Goulet. But Goulet is a solid player.
#17, for Crookston, was injured that game and played very sparingly.

Hannah Buchite #3 from Proctor/Hermantown/Marshall is a great defense. Great skills, speed, great shot at the point, carries the play

I am going to stand by guns on what I said about Vitchorek and Goulet.
Brodeen is very talented too.
What I said about #17 was just that I didn't notice her as much and as Souix Rule pointed out she was injured. I hope she recovered and from what I hear about the success of her season I can tell she has. Best of luck in playoffs.
