Lehrke could (arguably) be the best player in the Section period, let alone top junior.

I agree it is lehrke without a doubt. He is a player that teams were concerned about last year and even more so this year, he will be even better than his brother tyler lehrke who was also a dominant hockey player

Siouxrecruit, you couldn't convince the board that lehrke was the best in 8A so now you're trying to compare him to the rest of the juniors in the section  anyway, i'd take Ravendalen...

You know i watched the older lehrke a few years back and he was really good, this younger one was just as good last year as a soph. from what i saw. He has a big future in front of him.

Both are really good, but I don't think you can say 1 is definitively better than the other. Having skated with both many times, I would say they are equal. Their older brother Derek was also a good hockey player who went on to play at Northland. Congrats to Tyler for scoring his first Division 1 goal against UMD. Tyler is the first player from Park Rapids to play D-1 hockey. His brother could be the 2nd.

SB good call...good call....this is a new board if u dont wanna write on it then don't....BUT...like 28 ppl agreed with me before....so i guess think what u want....either way we will see what ppl have to say...but yea Derek was a pretty good player along with Tyler who is an exceptional player....he actually scored 2 goals against Wayne State for his 8th point this season last week...Zach will go D1 or possibly juniors before hand like his bro did... :)

Easy recruit. They have a right to their opinion even if it is a bit skewed. All of us who reside more than 20 miles south of the Canadien Border realize that maybe, just maybe the best player in the section may not wear a black and gold jersey. \:D/

As far as Lehrke does anyone know if he will follow in his brother's footsteps and go to Green Bay?

Do i actually think Ravendalen is better then Lehrke? Maybe, maybe not, but after all of the bandstanding you've been doing for Lehrke all over this board there is no way i'm going to call him the best anything, other then the best player on PR's team. oh and btw, i would guess that i live further from the Canadian border than both of you...or maybe i don't

I admit I have gone a little overboard on hyping this kid. I don't even know him but I have seen him play and despite his size he is very impressive. The other players that have been noted as being the best are as well as I have seen most of them play. I just think he plays quicker than the rest.

I'll agree SouixRecruit has gone a little overboard, but I have to ask what is wrong with recognizing him when he really is that good. What is wrong with talking up a kid that probably doesn't get the statewide recongnition he deserves because of where he play?

By next year Hahn will be the biggest suprise of the whole class!

He could, but i don't think he is at the same level of the two that are forementioned.

Frankly, I think he's a more complete player than Ravndalen is right now. His dad just doesn't have Albert's ear like Milo does so he doesn't get the opportunities like Bryce does. That goes for just about everybody else on that team with any talent not in the "circle". If your not in Milo's "inner circle" your kid doesn't get the opportunity to play. Sound bitter...your right I am. We'll get that fixed though the ones that will be bitter is Banger and Scotty.

The times i have watched warroad neither had impressed me a whole lot. But i can see where you would say that dickie. He plays both ends of the ice and always seems to be moving, not just when he has the puck or is going to get it.

Yea i hype alot about Lehrke...and ppl are right that recognition is much lower because of where he plays....its always been that way and I dont see it changing anytime soon....I guess for me I think he is that good.....and if you cant say he is the best because of what I have said..then i guess that ur own opinion...on the other hand I dont think Lehrke knows right now where is he going to play after next year...my friend who skates with him said he hasnt really said anything about it

Who is your friend that skates with him? From what I've heard around PR is that he's going to play juniors, he just doesn't know where yet.

He has also said that he wants to finish high school and then go play juniors. That is what I was told anyway. I suppose things could change.

He should play juniors next year. Even if they have a good team coming back. Playing at that higher level at his young age will only make him that much better.

I guess his reasoning is coming from advice from his brother. Stay in school and enjoy playing with your friends. Juniors will still be there when your done.

I pretty sure he will atleast graduate with Park....i highly doubt he will leave early...although it would probably help him out alot of he did...my friend is an open hockeyer that played in past years at Park...but what ever he chooses to do im sure he will do just fine

No way he leaves high school early for juniors. He'll be at Park again next year.

Sect 8 foes are hoping he leaves early. Very nice skills.

yeah, i don't think the rest of section 8 cares a whole lot what lehrke decides to do, its not like he's going to bring them a section championship or anything.

Maybe not, but nobody from Section 8 has beaten them yet, so get back to me when that happens.
