Which game: NHL 06 or NHL07????

This is random, but i have both games, and each of them have their own sensational qualites. I was wondering what all of you thought...those of you who play video games (sort of aiming this at high schoolers...but if adults play it soo be it and respond). I want honest responses, cause in Brainerd most people prefer 06, but personally i am a HUGE fan of 07! PLUS...none of this 2K7 garbage either...only the EA games!!

We'll probably get sent to the cafe...but I'll definately back '06. The skill stick was bomb. I don't mind '07 but I'd prefer it to be more like '06 as far as settings and what not.

The game play of 07 is much better than 06, but the controls are way to confusing. I like the "special dekes" for 06, but the skill stick is pretty sweet!

Well, 06 is one year older than 07.

Very much agree...The game play of 07 is far and away better, i also really liked the skill stick, but i think the skill stick was FAR TOO effective...i like the passing mode, sets up for SICK one-timers! Franchise mode needs to be improved to that of Madden 07, never is there FA's and the FA's that are available, there is no competition in signing them!
JUST A THOUGHT.....what about a college hocky game? factor in USHL U18 and HS
NHL

I have 06 for the regular Xbox and 07 for the 360. The best of the two? 06, hands down. 07 gives us less animations, and less gameplay. It is a total peice of crap just like madden 07 on the 360. I still play 06 much more frequetly.

To go along with what Jack said, I prefer 07 for regular Xbox. It has had years of development whereas 07 for 360 has just started and has to get going.

Swish i am certain that you haven't played Madden on 360, which is what Jack meant. He was implying IMO that 360 has yet to get the most out of their games, new system, gotta take time to "perfect" their games. (personally madden can't hold a candle to NCAA on my PS2)

I finally gave '07 its proper chance. This game is WAAAAAYYY too easy. I play on difficult and score 20+ goals a game religiously. The new controls are starting to grow on me, but seriously, it is waaaaaaaaaay too easy.

Like I said, I play on Difficult. Difficult, meaning the hardest level. ER...for someone who bashes all the newbies about it, you're pretty awful at reading.

I did see that. It was sarcasm chief. Do we really have to go over this again? My bad for not using the appropriate emoticons or [/sarcasm], but I thought you might be able to figure it out.
And 20 goals? Did you find a glitch or something? You should try playing on Live dude, you might be able to make a killing.

Pretty much what happens is I get really good at videogames being a college kid and all. Take Madden, for instance...60+ points a game.
In '07, to make the game fun I refuse to deke the goalie and only try to score on wrist shots and slap shots from a ways out...then that gets boring...
I used to have Xbox live but my connection at school sucks. I'll get it back when I move in to an apartment this summer and purchase a 360.

So you don't have a 360? and how long of periods do you play?
