Hey Garret, guess what. Richfield is on a 5 game winning streak. Crushed Sibley ( not saying much, I know), shut out Northfield, 6-2 over North St. Paul, 5-1 over South St. Paul. Let me tell you something, you're going to get a big surprise with that "Tartan is going to blow them out" attitude. And guess what else:
Mark Guggenburger + Richfield= whole new team. Tartan barely won with Sam Frank in goal for Richfield, I can guarantee you that Tartan doesn't score five goals if Guggs is in net (no offense to Frank)...
Go Spartans in this one!
5-3 RICHFIELD

richfield 4
tartan 1
richfield is on a roll, tartan is not, they played simley 2-1 and lost to ssp 4-1...with guggs in net richfield is becoming an increasingly hard team to beat

I have to agree, Richfield is a different team now. They are playing real well and with Guggs available they are tougher still. Frank is still there and solid, two goalies are better than one.
Richfield 4 - 1.... Olson is on a tear, maybe two goals again??

Tartan better show up ready to play, because if they don't, the buzz saw known as Richfield might just rip right them apart!
First game at Tartan, Richfield outshot them 40 to 25.
Wood was the difference in the game!
The two teams seem to be going in different directions since.
The Spartans have out scored the opposition 24-4 in the last 5 games!
You know with Guggs playing this time around Tartan will need some luck just to get on the score board.
Richfield 4
Tartan 0

This will be a great goalie battle between Wood and Guggs. How those to play will decide this game.

Hey garret larson great prediction. You wont do very good in sections if u think that ur gunna dominate every team. Tartan 1 and out in sections

i knew richfield would pull this out. They have been playing very well as a team and with the addition of Guggs they have become a lot better and could be a spoiler come sections!

let in a couple tricklers? he let in two goals.. and one of them he dropped down on a two on "O" and got beat on the pass cross... the 1st was a blocker save bounced up in air.

Tartan out shot them, and easily could have won that game. Lots of bounces that just missed either wide or rebounds that missed. Tartan also lost out on a breakaway and Richfield went 1/2 on the their breakaways.
Tartan played better... Should be a good game vs hill this sat
