2005-6 US U18 Midget AAA Hockey Rankings

2005-2006 US Midget AAA Hockey Scores Use the SCORES SUBMISSION FORM or the score submission spreadsheet to submit missing scores or corrections.

   It is not helpful to e-mail saying that x-x-x is not your real record as the record listed is generated from the 
scores listed.  It is helpful to send missing scores.  Scores against non US Midget AAA 
competition (Jr B, Canadian teams, Tier 2, etc.) are not needed for the rankings but will be used if provided. 

   It should also be noted that the ratings are an attempt to assess the on-ice game strength of each team, therefore
games that are decided via shootout will be treated as ties and games decided via forfeit will be ignored.

NOTICE: 
Some of the rated teams are not eligible for USA Hockey Nationals for various reasons that
may include overage players or other District requirements.

e.g.
Minnesota teams - only SSM eligible for nationals.
Northern Mass - not in Mass Select League, therefore not included in Mass District Playoffs.
Boston Little Bruins - not in Mass Select League, therefore not included in Mass District Playoffs.
Bruins AAA - not in Mass Select League, therefore not included in Mass District Playoffs.
Four Ninety Five Stars - not strictly midget age.
RI Saints - not strictly midget age.
Culver A - School team, not strictly midget age.
Gilmour Prep - School team, not strictly midget age.

  If possible, and with your cooperation (reporting scores),  
these rankings will be updated regularly throughout the season.

Notes:  
SSM Prep would currently be #4 (at 10.06) if they were to be rated on just their three games against ranked teams.

Chicago Chill is rated ahead of Team Illinois by the program despite losing head-to-head due to their 14 games 
being played against teams that rate an average of almost a goal better than the 12 opponents of Team Illinois .

As always, it will be interesting to see how much these preliminary rankings change over the course of the season.

There is also a complete ranking that includes Minnesota and Mass teams ineligible for nationals.
