Re: AA Rankings for 2/10/19

Like I said in the Thursday games thread, Goldy makes it seem as if Hastings has them in running time for an extended period, when realistically Hastings scored two goals in the last minute of the game to put Farmington in running time for the last 15 seconds of the game. Both Eagan and Rosemount h...

Re: Grand Forks Central

Hockey Hub is saying 8-1 win for Central over EGF, so I might have been wrong about this one. Central might be better than we thought.

Re: Grand Forks Central

I have not seen them play, but I have been looking at their box scores and stuff. They have a good team, but I will be curious to see how the rematch with EGF goes. One of their goals was in empty net, and EGF did out shoot them 31-22. The second highest amount of shots they gave us was actually 23 ...

Re: What's not clicking for Chaska?

So is Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, and Wayzata. No one considers them southern Minnesota teams. Lol =D> First, to clarify, the south of 494 thing was your argument and classification, not mine. Second, none of Eden Prarie, Minnetonka or Wayzata are south of 494. Eden Prarie is close, as the southern pa...

Re: What's not clicking for Chaska?

Eagan is parallel or North of 494 for the most part. Rosemount is South but Karl puts a disclaimer in front of anything to do with RAVE or Lakeville. Any win must be due to a goalie or a team playing bad that night. https://www.google.com/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari&um=1&ie=UTF-8&fb=1&gl=u...

Re: What's not clicking for Chaska?

Geez, I would have assumed Rosemount would be far enough south for you to have some sort of bias towards them I do but Karl’s logic equates any school south of 494 as Worthington. Nothing against Worthington as one of America’s greatest writers came from there. Rosemount=Worthington =LaCrescent=Roc...

Typical Karl logic.....hang on to one win while ignoring losses to Buffalo, Rosemount, Eveleth, and Sartell (who struggled with Mankato East).

12/16 rankings and quick thoughts on Edina Holiday classic: 1. Tonka 2. Andover 3. DE 4. MG 5. Edina 6. St T 7. Wayzata 8 - 12 - as interchangeable as it gets, right? The Edina Classic showed some deeper depth among Edina's 2nd & 3rd lines, but 'down' squads among GR & ER make it tough to qualify. ...

Wayzata beats Cretin 5-0 and outshoots them 37-17 What do we think about Cretin? Had a good year last year, but they are 2-3 now. All three of their loses are against good competition (though I'm skeptical of White bear, and realistically based off last year they should have beaten them) and their t...

\ My big wonder this year (if you'll allow me to shift to the other side of the border) is how Grand Forks Central would compete with the top schools in MN. They are killing everyone in NoDak. Trying to navigate the North Dakota high school hockey page is a bit difficult, but I would agree that Gra...

Yeah, I don't think Minnesota hockey is ending because Mankato East lost to Hudson and then Hudson lost to Superior. The people of Hudson probably have more in common with the rest of twin cities then they do to someone living in Milwaukee or Madison. I just looked at Hudson's bantam team and 12 of ...

Yeah, as someone who played Junior Gold that seems a bit extreme. I also played JV and watched every varsity game and in comparison, you could get away with much more with the MNSHL than junior gold when I played 5-7 years ago. They let you play a bit in varsity and JV, you can give some whacks afte...

Re: YHH Preseason Podcast 2018-2019

To comment on Danny's point about this Edina team having the least amount of offensive depth since the 2011-2012 team... I think you can make that argument and it is somewhat true. If you look at that team they had two 40 point scorers, one was a sophomore and one was a freshman but after that you h...

Kind of off topic, but does anyone know how Gentry academy works? I understand they have a Tier 1 team which they two brothers play on, but will they also be on the high school team or is that meant for less talented kids?

St. Cloud typically is not too far behind. Appears they like to meet up with the Gophs on the back 9
