Re: Elite League Livestream: NTDP u17 vs. N & SW

22 points in 16 games, pretty solid Elite numbers so far for Ryder Donovan.
Looks like RD and Biondi are carrying the North team in points.

Re: Elite League Livestream: NTDP u17 vs. N & SW

How many non-north guys suited up? They did it earlier having some ccm guys fill in, and I’m pretty sure it’s due to injuries no? Three F (Mittelstadt, Gleason, Pinoniemi) and one D (Koster) filled in for injured players. 20 man roster 14 from 3 HS teams (D East, Hermantown, Cloquet) 4 replacements...

So, looking through this thread... Greenway has 5 kids coming in this year from other places? 2 - Hibbing, 1 - Ohio, 1 - Elk River, and 1 - Out East. Seems legit. Must be the long term development they talk about up there.

How many more players is Motzko going to poach from other D1 programs?
Is there a limit?
If there is a limit who can Motzko whine too in order to plead his case for more players? :P

Congrats to John Stampohar. That makes 5 D1 commits off from the 2017 championship team.

Re: High School football

Oldtimer-- Why is Rapids football not very good? With them being a bigger school in 4A I would think they would have more numbers. Is it the better athletes just play hockey? Hermantown, I don't believe, have hockey kids out for the team. Cloquet doesn't have hockey players. Just curious Rocketwris...

Re: High School football

Owatonna is a football machine. Elk River seems to have developed a strong program. Andover is also proving to have the keys to a good program. Bemidji went to Eden Prairie about 8 years ago and copied their youth program. It is starting to pay off at the high school level now. Awesome move Elliot,...

To address a whole bunch of replies........ Re: 2018 elite league

I thinks its a grittier league with more junior / senior playing. However I don't mind seeing some of the top end sophomores joining the ranks. There have been some good ones over the past few years. Like to see the league play more midget teams and few junior teams. The league is a bit stale and ne...

Re: Summer Hockey Notes by KarlEast

If I had to guess 70% of the jobs will be in the service industry.....kids in those families do not play hockey in large numbers. Many of the rest will be advanced degrees in science......again not many hockey players coming from that group. More kids played bantam hockey in Rochester in 1983 with ...

Re: 2018 elite league

I see a number of younger kids on rosters, but seems weird that not one of the to-be sophomores at Maple Grove this year who played on the state champion Osseo-Maple Grove Bantam AA team last year made the cut. That team was the most dominant AA/A Bantam team in recent memory. I know Faber left for...

Re: 2018 elite league

What gives with the 1 Minnetonka lad playing north of the metroplex? He lived in and played in St. Cloud last year. Probably upsetting to some in the GP region who could have had that spot, but I’m sure the same would be said for whoever’s spot he would have taken in the metro. Ahh, I see thanks fo...

WOW....... and If they allow that to happen! What a gong show. It will be interesting. Not sure what is better for the kids, but at least systems wise, the consistency will help them take another step forward. If they give him his job back, look for Cloquet to be a top 10 team in the state. This is...

Kniven CEC beat and tied East last year, right? This year, CEC overall talent is quite a bit better, and DE a little bit less? So we should expect 3 wins against the Hounds this year? #simpleWManalysis 😀 Coach Mike Randolph. That’s all you need to say about Duluth East. That teams competes ...
