Kudos to Woodbury Blue

From the Rochester Head Coach:

I wanted to say "thank you" to the Woodbury Blue team for going out of their way to help us out last night.

Due to the extreme weather conditions yesterday, (blizzard type visibility at times) our one and only goalie could not make it to the game. We found this out after we had arrived in Woodbury, so it was game on regardless!

In a great example of sportsmanship the goalie for Woodbury (that is currently injured) and his family, offered to run home and grab his goalie gear for us, so that we could throw one of our players in net.

This was a classy move and a great example of sportsmanship and character. The game was played, both teams had a blast, the parents were treated to an exciting contest, Woodbury won the game 6-4 and everyone went home with a smile on their face.

This is what Junior Gold is all about!
