They are going to move from C-I so they can play B1 bantams in another association? I don't see more than a couple of them making an A team in another association.

If they are good enough to play A bantams in Blaine they should have no problem playing varsity in Cambridge. I'm not doubting you, I'm just questioning their motive. Moving doesn't make much sense to me.

But hockey parents never were too rational especially when their child shows the slightest bit of talent.

I stand by my statement that fewer kids will move now than when there was a merge. Agree?
There are 3 kids from C-I that played A Squirts as 4th graders and one as a mite aged 3rd grader this year. So they are going to come back as b-1 Squirts next year? With little talent after that, the 3rd grader will play two years of b-1 after playing A's? I know you believe better competition doesn't help a player improve, but come on!!..

Do you know where the Bantams that left went? One didn't make the Blaine A Bantams, he made varsity..

More kids will move and at younger ages. Next to impossible to get recognized for their effort playing b-1 in a tiny association.
Next to impossible to get recongnized :? - Huh :?: what do you want to get recognized for??

You're telling me your A Squirt team players enjoyed last year getting pounded on every game in D10? Let them play at a level they can at least have some success otherwise they will get sick of losing, losing and losing like your A teams have been doing over and over in D10 for years.
That sounds nice and all, but what generally happens when you don't run an A team is that you open the door for the A-level players to leave and go elsewhere....losing 2 or 3 of your top players will make it tough for a small association like C-I to compete even at the B1 level.

How many b-1 kids do you see on the District 10 advanced 15's  They had some good wins against Blaine, Andover and others... Did very well out of a tough District 10 in tournaments.

Thanks for the nice comments... must be having a good day :D

Having a Great Day, thanks for asking

First of all, I wouldn't put much stock in wins over Blaine and Andover this year in D10 their programs were very very down.

Second, Is that all your worried about is getting your kid noticed so he is on D10 advanced 15's team?

Third, Why don't you take the last five years, add up your Bantam, PW and Squirt A wins and losses in D10 and tell us how competitve your were. My gut tells me you didn't win 10% of those games

Yes, wide range in squirts... Blaine and Andover should of played b-1

YES, kids care about getting credit when due. Who are you trying to kid? Would you let your kid play b-1 IF he was very skilled :?:

There are pills that will help your condition..

Your self centered opinion becomes more apparent with each post, a strong program is not what's best for a one or two players its what's best for the majority and what's best for the majority is for your top 15 skaters and top 2 goalies is to play B1 level hockey in D10!!

Also you still didn't answer my question, what is your winning percentage the last five years in D10 for Squirts, PW and Bantam A's in D10??

O'yea, The only pills I need is some No-Doz to take so I can stay awake while play another BLOWOUT game vs. Cambridge/Isanti.

I do not claim to speak for anyone but myself, but:

I have no time for ignorant snobs that complain about having to waste an hour or two of their time because they blew out an obviously inferior team that doesn't deserve to lick the shavings off their skates. Pull your head out of your LX10 and take a look around the state at what associations are trying to do to put competitive hockey on the ice - I can tell you they are way too busy to be worried about whether you were inconvenienced. If 10 teams just want to play each other in a competitive loop, then petition Minnesota Hockey to create your own district and leave the rest of us out of it; we are interested in helping our kids get better, we are not interested in evaluating them to see if they live up to some fictional standard that you want to create regarding A hockey. In short, shut up and lay off of associations trying to get better.

On a related note, if an association did not field an A team this year and finished second or third at state, they DID NOT make the correct decision. They need to get their butts signed up as an A team the next year and play against the teams they should be playing against. Of about 120 peewee A teams in the state, only 8 even went to state - the other 112 did not make the wrong decision. Of the more than 5,000 peewee games that were played this year, one team won, the other lost - the loser didn’t' make the wrong decision. The law of averages states the for every team that is a game over .500, there will be one that is under .500; for every team that is 20 games over .500, there will be one that is 20 games under .500. There is no draft, no ping-pong balls, which help create parity among associations - there are 'haves' and 'have-nots'. The beauty is that periodically the 'have-nots' step up and knock the snot out of the 'haves' - and in my experience, the mommies and daddies of the 'haves' usually whine and moan about the refs calling a penalty.

Sorry, I hadn't gone on a rant in a while. I feel better now. Thanks.

One more - more like a pet peave than a rant, really:
the use of an emoticon beating its head against the wall or rolling its eyes in response to a post does not make your previous post more effective, it illustrates your inability to formulate an intelligent response. It is equivalent to when you responded in junior high with, "Duh!" To me, you just as well find an emoticon that is throwing in a tiny towel.

Yep you got me tough guy, your hockey intelligence is far superior to mine so I give up. #-o

Actually on second thought I'm as bored with you and this topic as I am watching CINB Squirt A's getting beat 15 to RIP. :P

Enoiugh about this. Either way both programs are not very strong programs and together or separate they will not compete.

Actually on second thought
I'm caught a little off-guard that you had two thoughts - right in a row.

They do have the Maroon and Gold Bantam set up already.
Apparently there are a number of folks that won't be satisfied until they have Maroon and Gold squirts, as well.

Sounds like it will be Chisago Lakes taking the jump to A at all levels with a co-op to some degree with North Branch. They will also be able to put together some very competitive teams from top to bottom. Chisago lakes players will now get credit that is deserved..... They had a few TOP NOTCH players on a very good B-1 bantam team that didn't even get looked at, for Advanced, because of the level they played.
The C-I board with enough kids for only one Bantam team, and one and a half Peewee teams, need to swallow their pride(identity) for the time being. They will have a Bantam team consisting of players between a C and A level and the Peewees will be the same way. They need to wake up and try to co-op at some levels with Mora or some other association. If they don't the wheels will fall off.....
The hockey players in C-I don't deserve this lack of thought from the new board.
