Conference List

Post by Can't Never Tried »

Just for fun or “bored”om? I took the top 4 teams based on PS2 rating from each conf.
And added it up to give a total obviously the lower the total the better the Conf.

Here’s what it looks like.

Rank/ conf./ Total PS2 of lowest 4 in each Conf.
#1 NWSC 47
#2 Lake 50
#3 Classic Lk 58
#4 Classic Sub 87
#5 Mariucci 92
#6 Sub East 94
#7 Lk Superior 119
#8 IRC 168
#9 Missota 192
#10 Big 9 197
#11 Central Lakes 206
#12 North Sub Conf 208
#13 Wright Cty 240
#14 Tri Metro 261
#15 M8 346
#16 St Paul City 410 ........Took your two teams #’s and doubled it
#17 Mid State 441
#18 Southwest Conf 451
#19 Mpls City 466 ............Took your two teams #’s and doubled it
#20 Northwest Conf 504
#21 South Central 544

Didn’t do the independents as a conf.

edit to add Mid State Thanks puck
And Missota thanks Nickle :?

Am I just not seeing it, or did you miss the Mid-State Conference?

(Park Rapids, Northern Lakes, Detroit Lakes, and Wadena-Deer Creek)

NWSC is a great conference where anybody has a chance to upset anyone, just look at the results. MG over Cenn, CP over Blaine, Andover over Blaine, and so on. Its fun to watch hockey from this conference for sure.

The CSC team's record against other conferences:

vs. Lake: 4-1 (CSC #4 Mahtomedi with 2 of the wins)
vs. SEC: 7-3-1 (SEC #1 team Woodbury beat CSC #3 SSP in OT and #5 Tartan 6-4)
vs. NWSC: 1-1
vs. Big 9: 2-0
vs. Missota: 6-5-1
vs. LkSup/IRC: 3-3

I'm not putting the CSC at the top of the list, but I think some of the "big boys" should beat these teams before claiming superiority.
