Sorry BIG D but a rose by by any another name is still a rose. Welsch or Welch no matter how many combinations of letters you use, it still= losses. The game passed this guy by long ago. Thank goodness we got rid of him in SSP as the program is finally rebounding, but i can't help feel for the fans in Hastings. Maybe Wooger's got room for him up in the booth?

Now I know you are spending way too much time on 2nd St. It's taken SSP 15 yrs to turn the program around? Losing Faulk is going to hurt and based on how well the youth teams have done the past few years, you are all alone on this one AL.

Not sure on this at all but I would guess that Turner is Woodbury because he went to Woodbury JH and Pederson is East Ridge because he went to Lake JH. I don't know where Volkers went. But I believe if a sophomore letters in a varsity sport this year, he can choose to stay at Woodbury for the rest of his HS career if he wants to.

From what I have heard, from a Woodbury and future East Ridge parent, is that the student has to go to the school in the boundary area they are located in and that no exceptions will be allowed for at least the first three years that East Ridge is open. Lettering as a sophomore won't allow the student to be able to stay at Woodbury (or Park) as long as they live in the East Ridge boundary area.

O wow that's too bad. I had heard differently but those were just rumors coming from high school students, so I'm sure you are correct.

Seniors (this years Jrs) will be allowed to stay at Woodbury/Park even if they are within the East Ridge boundries.

That's because East Ridge will not have a senior class in its first year.

What is everybodies take on ther order everyone will finish in the conference. I have it like this:
1) WBL
2) Cretin
3) Woodbury
4) Stillwater
5) Mounds View
6) Flake
7) Roseville
8) Hastings
9) Park

I honestly think that you could scramble 4-8. Any of those teams could finish 4th but I think the top 3 are superior to the teams below them.

WBL looked GREAT after the first period Saturday. Century isn't good but White Bear has a lot of offense this year. They should win the SEC.

CDH will be good, but not great. Barbato (2nd line) is a very good prospect, he will score 10-20 goals this year. Alt is the best player in the conference (UMN recruit) and Zimmerman is a very solid leader. However, Bangs is a coaster, hates physicality, and the Raiders are small and lack physical play (a very noticeable contrast to the very physical CDH teams of past). Woodbury and WBL will be very competitive. Goaltending is good enough with Walsh. They will make state, only because 3AA is weak, but win one game at best.

1. Woodbury
2. CDH
3. WBL.

WBL should win, but something tells me they will self-destruct.
