I asked a few questions, which you didn't answer. I am not sure where I judged anyone? I never stated anyone was better than anyone else, I just am curious how people made their comparisons!

I recorded the 3rd period which was broadcasted live on FSN, and I also recorded the replay of the whole game that night at 11.Cabela10 wrote:RoseauHockeyFan???
Did you get this game live up there or did you record the replay at 11pm saturday night?

Edina plays a Minnetonka, then Eastview, Bursnville, BSM, Hopkins , Centennial, Minnetonka again, the Scwans Cup etc ,etc and so on all season long and right now are 20 sometin and 1.
You want to compare common or similar opponents within a schedule that is ranked #47 with a schedule thats ranked #5.
A tough schedule is more demanding all season, every night. A #47 schedule isn't. Edina plays quality opponents almost every night. Roseau doesn't.
What would Roseaus record be if they played Edinas schedule? We dont know but Id bet they would lose some games.
I dont care if Roseau beat Buffalo by only 3 and Edina beat them by 9.
Compare season long schedules and performance , not a couple of games. When I do that , I like Edina's season more than Roseau's.
I think HAL would give you the same answer.
Who says giving up a 3-0 lead to Hopkins (who is something like 20-3-1 now) is okay?Green and White Fan wrote:So sneaking out a win against PS2 #26 Hopkins is okay, because Edina plays a tough schedule, but sneaking out a win against PS2 #7 is bad for Roseau, because they play a weaker schedule??
What?Green and White Fan wrote:So sneaking out a win against PS2 #26 Hopkins is okay, because Edina plays a tough schedule, but sneaking out a win against PS2 #7 is bad for Roseau, because they play a weaker schedule??
Ummm that #26 they played??? was a conf. game.packerboy wrote:What?Green and White Fan wrote:So sneaking out a win against PS2 #26 Hopkins is okay, because Edina plays a tough schedule, but sneaking out a win against PS2 #7 is bad for Roseau, because they play a weaker schedule??
It must be a long time since Roseau has played a tough schedule.
Give the lucky winners from Roseau a Stearns snowmobile suit and live on laurels from last March. Seems you need to move on. There is one argument for having Roseau #1 and practically every ranking involving subjective criteria places it high in importance.BIAFP wrote:

I agree with that..as revised.O-townClown wrote:Give the lucky winners from Roseau a Stearns snowmobile suit and live on laurels from last March. Seems you need to move on. Your beloved Rams won the state title last March. I think everyone here knows that. It won't mean squat when they face a below-.500 team from Austin in Round 1, just like Edina's gaudy 27-2 or 28-1 record (assuming they win 2AA, which is no small task considering it isn't an easy section like 8AA or 1AA) won't help them in a tilt with Cretin-Derham Hall.
And you know what they say about opinions....stmartin123 wrote:If i think that Roseau isnt that great that is my opinion. Some people may say i am bias, but i honestly think that Roseau is overrated. Leave this argument to trained professionals. Well, except BIAFP and rams80. But there a lot of Ram faithful who aren't "drunk" with the undefeated record. Your obvious bias hurts "the cause".![]()

Duluth East won twice. Do you consider them not Northern?packerboy wrote:Since Roseau is the only Northern team to win the AA tournament since 1980, there could be a good reason why people say these things.
I do not consider Duluth a "Northern team" in the traditional sense. I consider them Dulutherans.O-townClown wrote:Duluth East won twice. I thought it was north of 494.Can't Never Tried wrote:North of Hwy 2 is NorthernO-townClown wrote:Duluth East won twice. Duluth East is a northern school and it was AA state champs in 1995 and 1998. Grand Rapids 1980 State Champs. In 8 of the last 10 state championships a team from the north has been in it. This is even more impressive when you consider there are proportionally a lot less AA schools in the northern part of the state. Also, the class A championship has had a lot of northern champs.packerboy wrote:Since Roseau is the only Northern team to win the AA tournament since 1980, there could be a good reason why people say these things.

Yah right. Duluth is 90,000+ people or so and all the hockey players are recruited to go to 2 schools. Real "up north" feel to it.RoseauHockeyFan wrote:Duluth East is a northern school and it was AA state champs in 1995 and 1998..packerboy wrote:Since Roseau is the only Northern team to win the AA tournament since 1980, there could be a good reason why people say these things.
If Anoka wins this year, you can bet your bippy that they'll be "claimed".packerboy wrote:Yah right. Duluth is 90,000+ people or so and all the hockey players are recruited to go to 2 schools.
