My man Jordy Murray and his team will take this one by a few goals. I miss that kid, maybe AV would have won a few more games had he never moved away him and his older brother. Is his dad still coaching in the NHL? Kinda lost touch with the family when they moved down there.
But really SSM is so good BSM doesn't have a shot in this one.
SSM-8
BSM-1

I'm changing my score... looking realistically, I believe BSM will win by 3, rather than 2.

I'm making the trip down to see this game. I'll take SSM: 8 BM: Didn't.
After the game, I'll be racing up to St. Cloud to catch the Roseau / St. Cloud Tech game.
Should be a good day for some HS Hockey!!!
That's after going to the Tonka/Edina game on Thursday.

Shattuck has a very good team this year, this one could get ugly. I think the Bergland line is playing very well, but Shattuck has 4 lines that can score, if you look at there stats, other than there top 3 guys (Toews, Stepan and Murray) they are pretty balanced in there scoring. Should be a good tilt tomorrow afternoon at the Altell Wireless Center in Mankato. Anyone know why it's being played there?

I saw Benilde play Totino the 2nd time around and they have an excellent "High School" team...but the SSM "Prep team" only lost 1 or 2 games in the "Elite" League...so I agree...this one could get
ugly.
Bergland, Zierke & Applehof are a very good HS line...but Toews, Murray & Stepan are at a totally different playing level...and the D for Shattuck...particularly Carle & Konstalasky(sp) & are more than a match for Student, McCarthy & Borer & Company (although all 3 were Elite League players)...BSM only hope is if SSM's goalie plays an awful game... and their goalie totally stands on his head.
I do give BSM credit though...for scheduling SSM...that takes guts... Good luck to them.

Nowhere unless they lowered the drinking age dramatically.
Goldy is excited for this one. If anyone spots me in the crowd, come say hi. It can be like a real life game of Where's Waldo

Exactly, there are no cameras allowed in here that aren't mounted on the wall?

That's what you think. We poor Eastsiders are crafty. By the way... thanks for the "loan".

The story of the game was Jacob Meyers (BSM's goalie). He was unbelieveable tonight. Shots were 35-11 in favor of SSM. Thomas McCarthy was the other best player on the ice for BSM shutting the Sabres down in front of the net. Full game summary here:

As good as I think Benilde is, this shocks me. Meyers could be the difference that sends BSM to the show this season.

VERY impressed with the Red Knights. I figured it'd be a close game in SSM's favor, but Benilde confirmed the fact that they have the talent and will to play with anyone in Minnesota.
P.S. Has anyone noticed a lack of scoring from BSM's big line when they've played some of the better teams?? Maybe I'm way off, but that's just something i've noticed...

The prep team is the has only played Holy Angels, and probably only will. Sure it's a loss, but this is a different team.
