Thanks for all the work all year Karl!

The comment in the intro in which I said "these are what I think the seedings will be, not what they should be" was in direct reference to AHA. The seeding committee hit AHA hard last year when they struggled some down the stretch, even though they'd tied Edina in their only 2AA team. This year they struggled even more down the stretch, so there wasn't much surprise there.PuckU126 wrote:I can see that. I guess I am just more baffled by AHA rank. Although they have some bad losses; they do have several quality wins.karl(east) wrote:I've edited in the real seedings for sections 2, 3, and 6, and got the 8AA play-in recorded. No surprises of any magnitude in the section seedings that have come out so far.
ER is high mostly because they have a lot of narrow losses to a lot of very good teams. They also beat a pretty good Osseo team in the last week of the season, and just about everyone else who was in the 20-25 range last week lost or had some sort of bad result. They're steady and capable of an upset if they play well.starmvp wrote:So very curious here as well... What do you guys think of the section seedings so far?
Drama... here? No way!karl(east) wrote:All the seeds are in and all edits have been made; this is now the final edition.
A couple minor differences between my seedings and the end result, but nothing I'd spend much of any time arguing about. It's good that we don't have any of the drama we've had in the past. Enjoy!
Good fortune smiles on you Happy Gilmore since Eagan does not have to play the Jags in sections.HappyHockeyFan wrote:Hey Karl, nice job, thanks for the effort, I really enjoy reading your rankings all season. Just wanted to point out that Eagan beat AV the first time and Tied them the second time. I guess we will see in about a week and half if they got what it takes when it means the most..cant wait !!
Or Burnsville for that matter...lolnorthwoods oldtimer wrote:Good fortune smiles on you Happy Gilmore since Eagan does not have to play the Jags in sections.HappyHockeyFan wrote:Hey Karl, nice job, thanks for the effort, I really enjoy reading your rankings all season. AHA finish 16-8-1 and get #4 seed. Wins over EP. Burnsville, not to mention
Cretin ( ask Edina about Cretin) and handed Blake one of their 3 losses, 7-0.
Forget AHA being worthy of # 3 seed Im thinking #2 seed. Get your butts out of Braemar and BIG and watch some hockey outside the big 3.

To be fair, Jefferson was missing some of their top guys for that meeting. The Best in the Bizz3 wrote:ya and they lost 8-1Stateofpuck09 wrote:Jefferson only played EP once, get the facts right before you start complaining

To be fair, AHA was without 3 starters vs. Chaska. 2 forwards & starting goalie for third game in three nights. Also without #1, #2 D for third period in one goal loss to Edina. It really doesn't matter I guess, if you want to get to St. Paul you gotta win em all anyways.starmvp wrote:"Bad excuses are worse than none."mn man wrote:To be fair, Jefferson was missing some of their top guys for that meeting. The Best in the Bizz3 wrote: ya and they lost 8-1
In defense of AHA I will put in my opinion. Does not matter, because there are politics involved in these seedings also. Yes AHA did not "destroy" the teams in the conference but, with the exception of Chaska and Chanhassen, these teams have been beat up by AHA for 10 years and I am sure are kind of tired of it. The goalies all played great against them and the rest of the teams kept gunning and are IMPROVING. AHA will find it harder to win all their games because they do not get all the top players from the south and west anymore. Kids are playing at BSM, HF and others. Money is tight and it costs money to go to AHA.Listen2me wrote:Jags finish 14-8-3 and are #3 seed. Two loses to EP and loss & tie with Burnsville.
