Who cares this Section is pitiful. Whoever makes it out of this section might as well offer it to a decent team from another section who will have a chance in State.

Makes as much sence as you do.
Played exact same schedule as Sleepy Eye Minus Waseca 151 on the list
Redwood also played Henry Sibley 76 - Minneapolis East 143 Minneapolis West 129 2 times and Waconia 117 3 times
Math doesnt add up.
Even new Ulm is 132 of the 156.
Way i see it your argument should be with GopherHockey and the rest that dont give the Section 3A teams any credit.
Seems like the entire southern part of Minnesota is on the bottom.
Could be a Longitude ranking instead.
Im sure sregit34 is not trying to justify Marshall Loosing to Redwood Twice this year on the concept of Stenght of Schedule

it makes every bit of sense. Its based on the ps2 rankings of the teams youve played not the strength of schedule the teams youve played have. Ex. Rosemount has the 19 ranked schedule and has only won one game this year. they are not very good this year. btw ps2 has nothing to so with your playstation. you probably need that clarification. New Ulm is ranked 20th in class a and have 132 ranked schedule the rankings have nothing to do with each other. Redwood has played the easiest schedule in the entire state. plain and simple. oh yeah and it doesnt make any sense for me to justify marshall losses based on redwoods schedule, the two arent correlated ((related) for your clarification). i was just pointing out FACT! do you know anything about how high school hockey in minnesota works. (sections not districts, how ratings work) next time you post know what your talking about. it would be much appreciated.

No big mistakes here. Coaches did a good job. Especially at looking past willmar's bad record. I am interested in the Litch and Marshall spots. I thought Marshall beat them? I still think that Litch is the better of the teams though. Being defending champs gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well here go's gentlemen! Game on! Bring on the most exciting part of the Minnesota High School Sports season!

yea I could see the marshall and litch seeding go either way......marshall did beat them and have a better record but litch did play harder teams threw out the the season....I could see that one going either way

marshall, litch, and redwood seedings can go any which way... they are just like new ulm, hutch, and wilmar... each team has beaten each other

my personal opinion is that redwood will be seeded higher than litch and marshall because of there record no matter how easy of a schedule they may have

and as for bashing teams in this section based on there strength of schedule that is a joke! every team in this section has a terribly easy schedule just playing each other

NUs #1 Lets see if they can win this year, as I remember they were the #1 seed last year and Litch beat them in the sec championship. With that being said I for one can't wait until the games start, should be some good games and anything can happen. Good luck to ALL teams, play hard the have fun. I agree with hock1 this is the most exciting part of ihe season. I think the coaches did a good job, I may have changed a couple of teams around but nothing big.

New Ulm undoubtably will be seeing the section championship, im gonna say vs Hutch. it might be a tad early but here it is

new ulm beats hutch in the section final: 4-2

and hopefully make the trip. but in all sportsmanship lets hope its a great section playoff, good luck.

Must be a pretty competitive section when you already got the two teams picked out for the final. hahaha
This is embarrassing that one of these teams will be allowed to play at the X.

Don't mind him 90% of his post are just bashing this section all because he is from New Prague and they lost to Hutch and have lost to Red Wing already twice and he is starting to see that his season is over

Ummm. the 2-11-08 has to be a misprint because waconia and meadow creek christian are both on this list and neither of them had high school hockey last year so that is a misprint.

interesting twist on LDC over Marshall in seedings, If Marshall was seeded higher then LDC would have to play Willmar in sections, But Willmars Adminstratiion pulled LDC off the schedule this year .{HUGE Rivilary, /great games} I dont think Willmar adminstration wanted any part of that game in Willmar and did everything in their power to seed LDC higher. I think someone in Willmar has some explaining to do , what are you teaching the kids over their if things get a little tough someone will take care of it for you,
On ice the games between these two have been great, of the ice the fans have a tendency to throw things on the ice after goals, so we just wont let them play,
so there you have another twist why LDC got the seed over Marshall

Oh by the way LDC has beaten Willmar lately maybe thats another twist

LDC over Marshall

I don't think Willmar's administration (or any other individual school) has that much power over the section seedings. Sounds like another Marshall fan with sour grapes. LDC was seeded above Marshall because they are a better team. Anyone who has watched both teams play can see that LDC stregnths are greater than Marshalls. Marshall won the game between the two of them because of luck. LDC had the puck most of the time and just couldn't muster any great shots. Either team won't get past Hutch or New Ulm anyway.

Embarrasing for who???? The team who gets to play at the X???? probabaly not, I would be proud. More times than not one of these "weak" sections sends a team to the Cities that at least wins one game. What does that say for the team that they beat???? Get over it man. This thread is about section 3a not how horrible you may think they are. What do you want??? I suppose you would enjoy a "state" tournement that included only TC metro teams...try class 5a basketball or AA soccer, or , if Sandelin had his way, the AA tournement. This is a STATE tournement not a "metro" competition. It also isn't a "mero, Iron Range, Northwest....but no one else because they aren't that good" competition.

Dear Benny, who beat who, so in the section finals if someone gets lucky and wins they wont be able to go to state, because they are not the best team, huh thought the game was stuctured on who scores more goals wins, not luck or unlucky,Marshall beat LDC and should be seeded above them, no questions asked, and no im not from Marshall

LDC and Marshall

If you're not a Marshall player or fan why are you so angry? Any team can get lucky but in my more than 40 years of being involved in the game, once the teams get past the first round of playoffs, the teams that have the most depth, best defense, best shooters and good goaltending usually win. Neither Marshall or LDC have those combinations.
