What does the city charging $1.00 for heat have to do with how talented the 12UA team is in Elk River? You are not a very logical person are you?

Actually, I was not attempting to relate the two, but now that I think about it......it is the same!!!!! Logically it will explain itself over time. Go Ponies!

I do think people should wait on Edina. They are inexperienced at this level. Somewhat small. Maybe at the end of the year they'll be good, but right now, I wouldn't look for miracles from this team. This is not last year's team.

YOU ARE AN IDIOT! WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO THE SOCCER FORUMS? WE PUT THE HEAT FOR A $1.00 IN FOR YOU “SALLY” METRO PARENTS THAT THINK A RINK IS TO COLD IF IT IS BELOW 65 DEGREES F

Duluth 4, NWC 1
Cloquet 5, NWC 2
Wayzata 10, NWC 2
Wayzata 4, Cloquet 1
Centennial 5, Duluth 1
Wayzata 2, Duluth 1
Centennial 5, Cloquet 2

IMO: All good games. Cloquet has a strong first line, but low numbers. My understanding is that they played typical Lumberjack hockey- agressive. Wayzata has a solid team, no big superstars and well coached. Centennial has a solid first line and is big, but drops off quick. NWC looked a bit off this weekend, but has the basis for a good team. Their goalie played her head off. Duluth (my daughters team) played well- Centennial score wasn't indicitive of the game. Starting goalie had a tough go for the 1st. After the switch Duluth outplayed them in the 2nd and 3rd 1-0, until an empty netter made it 5-1. Unfortunately it was a 3 period game. Hats off to Centennial- they played well. Us Northlanders are confident we'll be giving you city folk some good battles this winter if thats the best you have...

Thanks to Duluth and Cloquet for hosting our team yesterday. Two class teams that play a great style of hockey. Playing Duluth in Fryberger and Cloquet in Cloquet allowed our girls to play two teams we normally would never get to play.
As for Hard Water.....you must be the goalie dad that just can't keep your yapper shut. The other goalie played fine, she just faced more shots! We play to win..... See you in WBL and the ice we share back!
Thanks again to all they great people in Duluth and Cloquet.

Yup bighead, that's me! Suitable username...Never said anything derogatory against our other goalie- nor would I. She's great, and we're lucky to have her on our team. I simply stated that she had a tough outing, as all goalies do now and then. Just as easily could have been my daughter- she's had her fair share. Our team played better in the second and third, essentialy shutting Centennial out and winning that battle 1-0. For crying our loud, Brodeur's been pulled during the Olympics.

As far as my "yapper", whatever. Lighten up. You Centennial folk are way too serious. I'll be sure to cheer extra loud when we see you in WBL...

Interesting reference to the "Sally" parents on a Girl's Hockey Forum. Anyways, we prefer free heat! Maybe associations statewide should institute a "Heat Fee" for all home games. You could suggest that at your next D10 board meeting.

Why should the hard working tax payers of Elk River pay for heat for you yuppies?

A good past week of hockey. Wayzata and Centennial both did well up in Duluth. Elk River and Osseo/Maple Grove skated to a zero - zero tie, and Centennial beat Edina 4-2. Blaine and White Bear are not top 10 teams, at least not yet.

Six weeks of scrimmages and games? Really? Tonka only finished tryouts a little over 2 weeks ago. Don't know about EP. Looks like games start next week in D6, so scores will start rolling in then.

Chaska beat Centennial 4-1 and I thought Centennial was the best team so here are my new rankings:

New Rankings:

1-Chaska
2-Wayzata
3-Centennial
4-Elk River
5-Minnetonka
6-Duluth
7-Stillwater
8-Edina
9-OMG
10-REV

That looks like a pretty good ranking. Based on what I have seen so far, you might have it nailed....

Looking at upcoming Edina Cake Eater 12U-A Tournament. Edina, Stillwater, Wayzata, OMG and REV are all in one pool...that should make for several really good hockey games. The other pool has Centennial, Lakeville North, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie and Thunder Bay. Should make for a great weekend of hockey!!
