Do you actually read posts: I hav seen both teams play and I said in the posts that I think that Cretin can play with East. The game will be 4-1, with the youth of the Cretin team they maybe nervous playing in the X, and if they are well East will win easily
Try actually READING........
I also said I do NOT think they (East) can play with the elite teams of the Metro, and dont give me the Christmas tourney stories.......2 months ago Hill Murray looked like they just might be able to defend their title, well they do have a chance. I have seen Edina, Blaine and EP play a couple of times each in the last month and I have seen East play also. I just feel that East isnt the class of those 3 teams playing at the X. I think East is better than Cretin, but the 3 weakest teams going to the X are Roc Century, Moorhead and Hill. So that makes East the 4th seed and Cretin the 5th in my opinion, and not many people should disagree with Hill, Moorhead and Century being the lower quality teams. Especially after Hill had trouble with stillwater and WBL. Cretin is a very young team, and they are playing alot better than the team that was worked by several good teams early in the season, including Woodbury. Late in the season though when the pressure was on and Cretin was beating Woodbury 2-0, the team came unhinged and lost 3-2, so hopefully they wont come unhinged like that at the X. If they do, as I mentioned before East will win pretty easily, but I think that Cretin will not be nervous playing the late game in their own hometown while EAST players stew all day waiting to play.

Hey MJ
What are you a HS english teacher? Blogging and e-mail writting is not grammar driven, it is content, substance, knowledge and communication (idea) driven. Besides have you actually read many great writers, like Steinbeck, wow his grammar is that of a grade-schooler, and he has written alot of so called classics.
So why dont you have your students write formal letters to people, so they can learn to use proper grammar. Also, most adults (post-HS) use the grammar of a 6th grader, because it is what they read in the newspaper, or an even lower grade level if you are a fan of Sid Hartman.

Hoops
It will be a physical game. We shall see what happens. East can try to pound on Cretin and you know what Cretin will pound them right back. Both teams have talent, Cretin is younger and isnt the same poor to average team that they were at Christmas Tourney time, so watch out. It takes a while for Football players that go deep into the State Playoffs to get into Hockey shape, so Cretin usually starts slow and this year was no exception.

This Duluth East has had a tremenmdous amount of experience playing and competing with top teams all the way from Pee Wees and Bantams, they appear to be a little less battle tested this year then in years past due to the fact that a few teams that are traditional powers were not as strong this year as in years past examples would include Cloquet (2), Grand Rapids, Hastings, etc. very similar to Bloom Jefferson who not by their choice were not very battle tested. This being said it is hard to get a good read on them. I was at the Blaine game and have seen East play a few times this year. The Blaine game was a competitive game with East coming back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game I think Blaine scored with a couple of minutes to play and then added a empty net. It will be interesting to see how they play at the X they had a good game vs White Bear Lake at the X and the make up of this team is entirely differnt then we have seen in some time from East. This is a tight group that will battle to the wire, they have overcome deficits, they have a capable goalie who has the potential to be the star of the tourney and have the fire power to be a very good team. Im look forward to a very competitive game with Cretin and watching two class teams who are coached very well.

No, the reason people hate CDH is that they win alot. As for your feeble attempt to put me down, well keep trying maybe you can say something good with alot of attempts, so keep going maybe by the time the Hockey tourney is over you will say something worthwhile and witty
Besides I never said I went to CDH? I just know facts, like that Cretin-DH is the ONLY school in the state that has won all 4 major males sports title in the modern sports era.....that is from 1974 to the present, when private schools could compete in all sports against the public school in state tournments.......You can look it up. Hockey, Football, Basketball, and baseball.

I just think that one team will just take control of the game, based on the youth of Cretin I think East will most likley win, but if Cretin isnt nervous and can get a quick goal, I think Cretin might get sky-high and win pretty easily, but if the Raiders are neverous I think East will take it to them pretty easily. One team will take control early and have all the confidence. Cretin has a bad tendency to play really well or poorly.

What does this have to do with the East-Cretin game coming up? Besides you don't even have the most popular sport in the world so your list is wrong. (soccer)...You can look that up.

I think that the key to this game is weather or not East's forwards will drive to the net and shoot from the slot, or just settle for shots from outside the dots which they have a tendency to do. East will outshoot cretin, but its the quality shots that count. If cooper stays focused this game will go to East.

I'd be surprised to see CDH put up +40 shots against East. It could happen, but I would be surprised.
In reply to CDH winning all 4 major males sports championships for the state of Minnesota... Good job.. You're private... You should be able to do that, especially if you are located in the Metro area, recruiting from all the suburbs. It doesn't say much if the last one they won was the hockey title, a few years ago.
ANNNNYYYway.... I'm pumped for State to start, got my ticket! Less than two days! Let's go Hounds!

I watched the section final against Elk River and East dominated the whole game,If East comes and plays the way they played in that game they have a good shot at winning it all
I don't know much about CDH besides common opponents records and all the great stuff from all the experts who... never laced up the skates in their life

talking crap on here but, I'll take East in this game, looked to me they were firing on all cylinders
EAST- 4
CDH- 0

Cretin will be lucky to get half that many shots.

There is no way Cretin is going to get above 25 shots let alone 40. If the defense plays half as well as they have been all season they still won't get over 25. I haven't heard of a dominant forward either for Cretin so it will not be as high as 40 shots.

Duluth East will win by 2 or 3 goals Thursday...because aside from Mark Alt and some excellent coaches...Cretin simply doesn't have the horses to match up with a DE team...which I believe is destined... for a classic semi-final match-up with Edina on Friday night.

East is playing good, i don't see them letting cretin put more than 2 on the board with their solid d core. It depends on how easts forwards do and how they played against elk river i see no trouble for the hounds in this one.

raiders 2

The Hounds have the best Goalie in the tournament (either class) and probably have the best group of D as well...and Max Tardy. I just don't see CDH pulling it off. GREYHOUNDS 4, RAIDERS 0
State champs in '98. Can they do it 11 years later?

East 4
Cretin 2
I think Cretin will do better than expected, but to me they just haven't proven what they are capable of yet, I mean besides White Bear have they beaten anyone in top 15 A or AA this year?
P.S I went to Cretin so no need to jump down my throat for this

Is that a lyric in the song "Imagine" by John Lennon?
If not, it should be..
