When Edina and Minnetonka tied, Edina outshot the Skippers. Both teams missed a breakaway, and Edina had two posts, one of which might have been in, so I'd probably flop those two in your rankings. Otherwise, I think it's a good list.

D2 is a logjam
I know that Stillwater beat up the bottom of the league so far, can't quote scores, we also lost to Tartan NSP (TNT) 1-0 this week and beat White Bear 2-1 in a penalty marred, wonderfully officiated game that could have went either way. We haven't played Roseville yet, who I believe are good...
TNT has a girl #9 from NSP that is just dangerous with the puck, their goalie was great against us, the D had 2 players that stood out, one really really small girl but just can play hockey, loved watching her.
White Bear has alot of depth and may be the best overall team on the ice without seeing Roseville. Their coaches need different sweatshirts though, the HUNTER Orange sale rack from Fleet Farm with a White Bear ironed on the front was distracting from the stands. (it's sarcasm people, relax)
Mahtomedi played us tough but didn't have alot of depth and is young from what I understand.
Centennial and Woodbury both dominated us in scrimmages, but that was our first week skating so who knows. Our schedule at the Edina tournament is going to be great, not sure you can play 3 top 10 teams in 2 days without being at the state tournament, but we're going to.
Thank you Edina for tapping us for 20 bucks at the door on a holiday weekend, you better at least have Pumpkin Pie for us...(again, sarcasm people)
anyway, that's an early take on D2 from a simple perspective...

Any thoughts on 12UA Cambridge/Isanti, Princeton?
Anyone want to take a shot at ranking these teams in District 10?
#1 Centennial:
#2 Elk River:
#3 Anoka
#? Andover (slight edge over Irondale?)
#? Blaine
#? Cambridge-Isanti
#? Champlin Park
#? Irondale
#? Princeton
#? Spring Lake Pk
Blaine Scrimmaged Spring Lake Park, Princeton and Cambridge/Isanti: Results anyone?
Irondale Scrimmaged Cambridge/Isanti and Anoka, results?
Princeton Scrimmage Cambridge/Isanti twice, results?
Andover Scrimmaged Anoka and Cambridge Isanti, results?

2. White Bear
3. Tartan
4. Forest Lake
5. Roseville
6. Highland Central
7. Moundsview
8. Mahtomedi
Anyone else want to take a shot.

Duluth 12UA is the 2010 All American Tournament Champions. Beat Eagan 2-1 in a shootout. Great game, Eagan was very solid.
To get there Duluth beat Mounds view 7-2 and NWC 3-0
In order for Eagan to make it to the championship, with seven seconds remaining they beat Roseville 1-0 in a semi-final battle. Roseville looked solid as well...

Looking forward to a great weekend of hockey in Edina this weekend. Great job Edina attracting the top teams at all levels, as usual!
Does anybody know anything about Thunder Bay 12A & 14A this year?

The 14A ThunderBay team is not the Queens top team that has been down to the Cake Eater over the years. It is there 2nd tier team. The top team was down last weekend at the All-American and won 10-0 over Anoka in the final. They should still be good with many of last years 12A Queens players filling the roster.
Not sure on the TB 12A team....their website should list their games.

Looking at it now, it sure looks like Woodbury is the #1 team in the state, then Wayzata, then Centennial, Edina & Chaska.

Wayzata has clearly proven it is the team to beat at this point in the season. I think they are undefeated and winning the Cake Eaters confirms there #1 ranking. Woodbury would be a team that creates some interest, but until they step up and play some of the elite teams I don't think they can be considered in the true discussion.

Wayzata hasn't beaten Edina yet, and they've played twice.

I agree with the gentleman from Edina- lots of good teams, lots of hockey yet to be played, lots of hockey yet to be practiced. One thing for sure- this current crop of players will be providing us all with some excellent high school play in a few years. Maybe the best class yet??
The St. Luke's Icebreaker Invitational might be a better harbinger of positions after its conclusion in January. 82 teams this year, excellent representation from the best of the best...

Could not agree more. The best team we have faced so far.
We (
Centennial) scrimmaged Woodbury last night, and all I can say is what an amazing team. They are fast, physical and can really finish. To not include them in the top 3 is crazy. I was
VERY impressed with there speed and play. There passes were spot on and they can really use their body to move girls around. One of the best teams we have seen thus far. We won, but not by much and in fact, in the 3rd period they out shot us 12-2. Great game and look forward to scrimmaging them again as much as possible. Great hockey.
IMHO of course.

I suppose it's too early to ask about regionals and state?
Which Districts are in which regions, and how many seeds does each get?
Does the North still get two seeds to State, and besides Duluth, who's good up there?

Elk River U12 A Check List
Edina (Check)
Centennial (Check)
Elk River beat both teams in the last week, (and yes I am a homer

) time to move the Elks Up in the rankings.

Hey RedArmyDad
How did the Elks Look the other night. I watched the game and playing 8 skaters didn't work out to well for you did it. The Elks came with three lines at you and worked their butts off and WOW the right team won. Your arrogance will be your downfall this season. Good luck next season.
LOL Good luck to you!

No I dont have kids on either team but have a vested interest because I am from Elk River. How is St Francis doing? or Cambridge / Isanti? Where are you from? Just admit it, it is the first step to healing.
