I think the edge should go to GR. Haven't seen Roseau yet, but have seen Rapids play. They're a good group with some good coaching knowledge. Guy Clairmont, Grant Bischoff, Jeff Nielson & Don Duell. Lots of youth, high school, college & professional experience there. The bigger difference is that they're relating well to the kids rather than force feeding them x's & o's. The game is still fun for those boys.elliott70 wrote:I think Watchdog's team will be okay.
A lot of travel and the second game of the day may hurt a little, but I still give the edge to the dog's team.
You have to remember I am biased.GR3343 wrote:I think the edge should go to GR. Haven't seen Roseau yet, but have seen Rapids play. They're a good group with some good coaching knowledge. Either way, it should be a great early season pee wee matchup.

Might as well stay and get some OT...
The big blue machine will have the orange done in by 5.
Ah, what the heck, come on down to the rink, and then to the Lake N Forest Restaurant??? (its not Nelson's Cafe, but it ain't bad) and buy cuz' some dinner.
How did Roseau do last night against Bemidji and earlier today at Hibbing?GR3343 wrote:In a titanic battle of 4 footers, GR beats Roseau 5-1. Dinner's on Watchdog. Sorry, Elliot, GR may be as good as advertised. Actually, Roseau did not play well and GR was so-so in my opinion. Blaine Broten was the the best player on the ice even though he was held scoreless. He created numerous opportunities for his teammates and had several great chances himself. Good luck in I'Falls tomorrow if they play. In a related story, Blaine's brother Chase led an inspired Roseau team over GR in the Moorhead Bantam Tourney. Roseau takes GR out behind the woodshed, spanking them 9-3.
Not sure about Bemidji, but they beat Hibbing 8-2Air Force 1 wrote:How did Roseau do last night against Bemidji and earlier today at Hibbing?GR3343 wrote:In a titanic battle of 4 footers, GR beats Roseau 5-1. Is Blaine Broten any relation to the Brotens in the big hockey capital of Roseau???GR3343 wrote:In a titanic battle of 4 footers, GR beats Roseau 5-1. Dinner's on Watchdog.
