This game will probably be the difference in the #1 and #2 seeds for section 5A. Denfeld could possibly sneak in ahead of Hermantown with a SCC win here (and a head to head win), but most likely not.

I've seen both teams play and can't really give one team a significant edge. But its on a Monday night and Hermantown has to make the long trip which will bold well for SCC. However, this is for the #1 seed so I expect a great matchup. Can't wait to see this one!!

With a #1 seed on the line I see both teams coming out hard and expect a very intense game.

Saint Cloud Cathedral 2, Hermantown 1

St. Cloud Municial Athletic Complex, St. Cloud -- A late rally fell short as Hermantown dropped an important section 5A seeding game to St. Cloud Cathedral 2-1. Cathedral scored the first goal of the game in the second period and extended the lead to 2-0 early in the third. Alex Koopmieners scored the second - and eventual game-winner - and assisted on the first. Grant Huttel tallied with 4:49 remaining to cut the lead in half, but the Hawks couldn't net the equalizer. The Crusaders outshot Hermantown 33-16 in the contest, including 18-2 in the second period. Ben Tessier stopped 31 in goal in the losing effort. Nick Maiers stopped 15 to gain the win for St. Cloud.

Wow that is impressive at least in the shot total.. Sounds like SCC has a very good shot!
