Breck draws from the entire Metro area

population of 3.2 million...considered a small school?

New Ulm, a small school drawing from a population of 13k..

3,200,000 = 13,000 ???

something is severly wrong with this lol

The obvious fact that you included the ENTIRE metro population (Not just kids ages 14-18) means your number is way off.

Private school vs Public school argument, been heard a thousand times.

and by no means do i mean to get a public vs private school war going...

Im just blaming the mshsl

its seems such flawed logic to consider privates as small schools

It's not population of the town / area that the team draws from, it's based on school enrollment.

Breck does not have 3.2 million students enrolled. New Ulm does not have 13,000 students enrolled.

well I know thats how its "decided" but the fact is..New Ulm is only drawing kids from their hometown....Breck is drawing from the whole metro....if Breck only had a school of 20 kids...all hockey players....their talent pool they pick from to get those 20 is still MUCH larger than actual small schools..regardless of actual school enrollment.

Thats where I think this is flawed.

If Breck had to pick kids solely from kids that live within their school boundaries (if they had them) and their enrollment was on par with these actual small schools...then yes, let them play "A"

New Ulm never had a chance

I like how you think that Breck can just hand pick any hockey player they want from the metro area.

Regardless, this New Ulm team is terrible, they don't deserve to be playing right now

yah, Breck doesnt get every player they want..but they sure have a much bigger talent pool than new ulm to choose from..and thats the point of this thread...

and to your 2nd point..

New Ulm doesnt deserve to be playing?

Last time I checked they beat the 3 teams put in front of them and won their section that they were put in by the MSHSL...pretty deserving if you ask me....they are just outclassed

This is similiar to a team like Duke in college basketball wanting to play Division 3, because their school enrollment is so "low"....

You probably haven't been around long enough to know how old your argument is.
