Re: Transfers 2020-21

Kirk Herbstreit came out and said he didn’t think there would be any NCAA football this year.

Related.....I know an Iowa Hawkeye football lineman who can’t workout with anything besides what is in his home....my guess is he is the norm.

Re: CoVid-19

Cigar....your second sentence after “here are the facts” is false. While we do test those with symptoms we also test those in direct patient care and test those in the chain of infection, most in the second and third categories are not rich or famous. As I stated, I was called to come in for a test ...

I give it a 1 in 3 chance there is no hockey come October. No decision should be made on where to play early.

Re: Hockey Hub article

The MSHSL is a horrid record keeper and even then they rely on schools to report accurately. None of these records needs to be taken as fact over kids who played previously.

Re: CoVid-19

While I agree with a post I had to delete concerning blame, this topic needs to stay away from the political aspect. Don't want to trigger someone, after all  Lee Good idea, there will be a lot of time in the future to look at what went right and what went wrong in this whole episode. Even in...

Just a comment.....there will be no tryouts this year. If we do this right and flatten the curve this will drag on into June at least.

Re: Why high school sports

A couple of decades ago I quit drinking, my sponsor told me I needed to find something to take up the time I used to spend drinking. High school sports take place many nights and seemed like a good choice. I am a vagabond and attended multiple high schools in my years, my kids also attended differen...

I am fine, I had a sore throat, a headache, and a low grade fever, and some shortness of breath but not bad. I was notified by my work I needed to be tested, the departments of health do a really good job of tracing this stuff. John 13:34....as I have loved you, so you you must love one another........

CoVid-19

As some know I work in health care, I see patients directly. If someone tells you to isolate, to maintain social distancing, etc, do it! You may feel fine but that doesn’t mean you do not have the virus and are not contagious. The person you may inadvertently infect may be a doctor, nurse, lab tech,...

There are a bunch of “reds” who gain nothing by staying. A couple of reds are 90‘% gone. At least one one was terrible at sections and state.......no way he stays.

Re: Can we please bring back on-ice cheerleaders?

Since the MSHSL recognizes dance as a sport cheerleaders have almost disappeared. Most football games I do no longer have cheerleaders, that is football with 600 schools! My school district now letters figure skaters.....why cheerlead when you can letter for never showing up at a high school event? ...

Yeah that’s a good one too Hm88 Lechs last title before Sat nite I remembered Rams we’re undefeated , didn’t realize how far back into previous season , that was their championship year, right? I still remember one of the kids in the Hill section, during the Roseau game, had a sign "42-1". Still cr...

Re: 2020-21 Early Rankings: SWEET SIXTEEN

I was on the South bandwagon all year......until I saw them in the playoffs. They made the goldy313 list of top 5 worst teams to make the state tournament out of 1AA since the two class split. They can’t score, they struggled in 1AA after the 1 vs 8 game and needed outside help at that to score. Has...

Re: Biggest Tourney upsets

It's 8 years ago so all our memories differ, and I don't for a second dispute that East would have won a multi-game series, probably easily, but my recollection is that the Lakeville South-Duluth East game in 2012 wasn't really dominated by East. Shots were only 27-22 in their favor. South had play...

Re: Biggest Tourney upsets

That Lakeville South team had the best player in the state in Justin Kloos, after being upset in the section finals the year before Kloos unexpectedly returned to South for his senior season. South was a good team all year and Kloos was not going to be denied a trip to state, they rolled through sec...

Re: Biggest Tourney upsets

2007 was a really weird year for big upsets. 3 seed Hill lost to Rochester Century. I was driving and listening on the radio. When Century scores the game winner the announcers were just screaming at the top of their lungs. You couldn’t tell what they were saying. Then the announcer did his best Mi...

How many state champs did the Lake produce this year? 2 less than the TRME, and Moorhead went 0-2.

Cripes, EP was lucky Hastings got jobbed and they got a horrid South team.

Re: AA Championship: Hill Murray v Eden Prairie

And you see tonight what Lechner coaches. The forwards back checking and supporting the defense is really the way to win games. You don't blow everyone out that way, but you win against teams that have more talent. ... But I like teams when I see the forwards skating hard towards the defensive zone...

This is the first tournament since 1993 I have not attended a session.....maybe aside from Grand Rapids no team has a more passionate following than Hill-Murray, generationally speaking. Re: AA Championship: Hill Murray v Eden Prairie

Thursday night the Hill line with #7 was getting worked in the Hill end of the rink, badly. Moorhead turned the puck over and Hill went down and scored. TV showed a shot of the bench after the goal and while I am no lip reader it was pretty clear Lechner was teaching/chewing the kids out about what ...

Re: AA Championship: Hill Murray v Eden Prairie

The TRME brings home both championships! the East side put the much more hyped West side to bed. Hill Murray was fun to watch, you don’t see teams pass that well very much anymore. Lou Nannie was right on. An old bored member coined “Championeers” when referring to Hill-Murray....I wish I could reme...

Re: Hill-Murray vs St. Thomas Academy - Semi-Final Friday

The best two looking teams will play each other, we love our underdogs and great stories but this will be the best two teams, now, playing each other. I, normally, would hate this match up but this year am very interested in it.

Hopefully the TRME goes 2 for 2 tomorrow against the evil empires!
