He...?... decided to write about how great community based Hockey is? I would bet the farm(pretty obvious) that someone with Minnesota Hockey asked him to. :-({|= So it's great to leave a crappy public program(old Central) for good training at a private school, but total taboo to leave the ...

SSM had three guys out:

Montgomery - Dislocated Shoulder
Stepan - Broken Rib
Petrella - Sick

Regardless, it was a fun game to watch. Back and forth the entire game. Both teams played hard and clean.

5 kids from Minnesota made the NDTP team and a different 5 made the Five nations team. If Minnesota doesn't dominate then who does? Sounds like possibly 6 now for NTDP? I've said it before, but I'll say it again... Minnesota SHOULD have more. We have five times the kids to choose from... Also...I g...

I always recommend people go if they can afford to go. Hockey is all about exposure. As soon as you get on "the list" things come easier. If you don't ever get on "the list", then it becomes harder and harder to break through the politics that follow as the years pass. Go to the ...

I don't get it... There are so many people on this board who rip on Shattuck or Tier One teams who have NEVER had a kid play for either. If you don't have a kid who has played in these leagues than you can't really have a valid argument, can you? There are many different reasons families choose wha...

[quote="O-townClown"][quote="itsmorefun"]Heres my last plug... with the amount of players that MN Youth hockey enrolls, MN should have a hell of a lot more kids who "make it", than they do. I agree that MN has a few who actually do, but percentage wise... it's actually ...

Tier One Hockey vs Minnesota

I've just finished reading a couple of threads that commented on some upcoming Shattuck games. It got me thinking... How is it that Shattuck, a tier one hockey program in Minnesota, can have so much respect and positive aura from the Minnesota hockey world, but Minnesota Made or Fire Hockey, which i...

I know that there are a lot of naysayers to Fire hockey, but it should be noted that 6 of the kids from the 1994 Fire Hockey club made the national team and will be heading to New York in July. The only people who have a valid argument about this topic are those who have played Tier One and those who have played MN association hockey and have the knowledge to compare. Most people who comment, on this board, about their disgruntled idea of Tier One hockey, have never even experienced it. Yo...

Thanks for all the replies... Here's the problem...many people wrote that I should seek advice... but that's the problem - everyone has an invested interest - it's hard to find neutral people.
