There's number of questions about Tech hockey right now. If you've seen a game (I've seen couple home games), they appear to be disorganized. It appears they have some talent but are no where near playing at the level they should and haven't beaten anyone of consequence. I don't know much about the ...

Well, Blue and Gold, you had it right, what a mess. Apparently a friend talked to Pete Mantanich and he did get interviewed but never heard back (imagine that). So they liked one guy out of 7 and now are reopening the process searching for an Apollo coach. Whew.

Western: I think you're wrong on that. I don't think they offered the Apollo coaching job to anyone. I know Pete M. was DEFINITELY interested. He told people he would take either if offered. It sounds like they didn't offer either to him. They also did not even interview some candidates with a lot o...

Tech Selects New Coach

I have been told by a person who knows that Tech has selected a coach, a 30 something guy named Neil Andraschuk (sp?) who was interim coach at St. Ben's. It appears from the internet he is from Manitoba and played as a defenseman at U of M Crookston, where he was an all conference player. Sources te...

That's what I hear, as well. That an announcement is a day or so away. I don't have much in the way of names, except I understand that Craig Larson and Pete Matanich (assistant to Hommerding) applied for the Tech job. Meanwhile, a guy who coached nearly all the Tech kids, Mike Denardo, didn't get an...

Blue and Gold: You're right. Parents who have a kid coaching are best advised to keep away from the bench. It will cause nothing but problems for them, and often, their kid. It's okay at lower levels of youth hockey but not at the higher levels and high school. As to your question, I am a southsider...

Two St. Cloud Teams on Probation

Oops. It looks like two St. Cloud Youth Hockey teams will be on probation this year and narrowly missed thousands of dollars in fines by having their girls U10 team and Squirt A team play more games than allowed. A technicality in D10 handbook (which it appears will be changed) prevented the distric...

Blue and Gold: You asked in an earlier post what some of the Tech parents are going to do now. The rumor is that at least one family of a varsity player and maybe one other are looking at sending their kid to private school -- IN THE CITIES and moving or partially relocating by renting to get around...

Tech is talking like they won the state tourney? Where did you get this? I have been around a lot of Tech people and few if any talked about making it to the state tourney let alone winning it. They have some talented young kids but no one is expecting them to come on their first year. It usually ta...

Oh for the love of Pete, here we go again with the rumors and motivations and finger pointing. Why can't we all just get along? So what if you have different opinions on how to help the kids. Grow up and get used to it. Who is to say who is right and who is wrong. Quit making it personal and negativ...

Man O Man. I've been watching the posts on this thread and much of it has to do wit intentions and motivations and agendas and so on. How about being consturctive and sticking to the facts. I went through treatment many years ago and there was a part in there about not taking someone's mental invent...
